concerns about some children

No, they need to be taught their bodies are nothing to be ashamed of. We all have them after all.Blackpool_Saver wrote: »It has nothing to do with the weather, it's about teaching the child self respect and safety.
There are dirty minded people out there who prey on little children, they need to be taught from a young age to cover up.
It's just about acceptable in their own back gardens, but in the stret NO WAY, it's a disgrace.

It does concern me that we have created a Playstation generation of obese kids who have never learned to be independent or socialise. They've never been allowed the freedom to develop due to over protective parents who panic at the thought of what could happen in the big bad world. All kids need the freedom to develop and grow with the support and supervision (sometimes very discreetly) from the parents. That's an essential part of a loving family.0

Indeed there are dirty minded people out there who prey on little children, but kids are significantly more at risk from people they know than people they don't.0 -

Unfortunately, being covered up doesn't necessarily stop children from being preyed on, although it's unlikely to happen in a quiet street with lots of children playing out and parents around.
I wouldn't think much of it if I saw children in the street in the summer in swimsuits, probably after paddling in a pool in their garden but I wouldn't take my children to Tescos in just their pants.0 -
Its mad isnt it. At that age its fine for little boys to strip off in the sun but a girl cannot and the mother is called neglectful! She is a 3 year old girl for goodness sake just a toddler. No, they need to be taught their bodies are nothing to be ashamed of. We all have them after all.
paranoia
The girl was probably playing in her own street within eyes view of her parents. We harp on about how children were always out playing but when a parent actually allows their child out they are accussed of child abuse.
There are plenty of photographs online of children under the age of 5 out playing in the streets without adult supervision. Being over protective and not letting your children out of the garden to play is what I would call neglect!0 -
It's not ok for boys or girls to be naked in the street, I am against the playstation generation myself, playing out is fine but please put clothes on first !Blackpool_Saver is female, and does not live in Blackpool0
