The manager of the tyre fitters that my brother knows is also the owner who even gets his hands dirty by fitting tyres as well.0 -

The size is 215/60R150 -
I had a Peugeot 407 and the alloy valve snapped off whilst I was putting air in my tyre, put the spare on and took it to my local tyre place who said it would cost a couple of hundred quid because of some sort of sensor in the tyre. I ended up trading it in a couple of days later and the dealership only knocked £50 off the trade in price they'd given me before. I could have had a normal valve put in for a tenner but it wouldn't have been connected to the sensor so I figured as I was trading it in anyway i'd leave that decision up to the person who was going to sell it.
That's true. Quite a few types of cars now-a-days are rigged with tyre pressure sensors which flag up a warning on the dashboard when a tyre is running on low pressure.0 -

£30 for a tyre....wouldnt touch with a bargepole.
I use budget but they are £50 a tyre, fitted, and I do a lot of miles.
Just before xmas I had all four fitted for just under £200 and within a couple of weeks I had a puncture and needed a new tyre, within two months another went but could be repaired.
You have to weigh up the pros and cons.
The budget I use are excellent, great handling, stopping, wear and low noise. In fact, I notice no difference to the Goodyear that were on them prior.0 -
contis last £76, £75 this0

www.blackcircles.co.uk cheaper than mainstream dealers, get them delivered and fitted at choice of your centre
Just took a look. My mum could get a tyre in her size from as little as £46, without fitting. That's the budget type though. Even the mid-range tyres start in the £50s.
Cheers. I'll pass this site onto my mum.0 -

LOL, sorry about that.0 -
Could have searched around for a cheaper price, didnt have to go with the first price,
I told them that, but it was in one ear and out the other. There is one local fitter that we learnt to avoid. They have a habit of not fixing the bolts on properly. My mum ended up with a nut and bolt being sheered off when she had to swerve to avoid a boyracer.0 -
