Hi all
Well my month started on Friday (25th Mar) and already I have spent £100.71:eek: My month will end on Friday 22nd April and we are on hols for a week at the end of this (15th - 22nd) so hoping to actually come within budget this time:) Mind you DS1 is staying at home and i will have to stock up cupboards with 'easy' food for him but should still be less than a normal week. We take some food with us as we are self catering and this will come out of food budget but otherwise hoping for a cheaper month.
I will meal plan for next few weeks until we go on holiday and hopefully stick to it this time:o Good luck to everyone else and thank you to thread organisers. :APayment A Day £15 (started 17/5/14) :j0 -
Good morning, and thank you to the organisers of this thread. I was contemplating reducing my budget this month, but given that half of April is school holidays, I don't think I will just yet.... Please will you put me down for £200 for April.0

Hi everyone,
I've not done a GC before, so thought I'd join in. I'm on my porta-gadget just now, so apologies if I can't do the number in red. Thank you to the lovely ladies who set the thread up.
I'm not sure how much/little to put down, so I'll go for a round number:
£100.
Thank you.Call me what you like, I was a bit "tiddly" when I chose my username

Grocery Spend Weekly Challenge (Sat-Fri):£30.50/£400 -
Hi everyone
This is my first GC I don't normally keep track of my spending so I think I will start with £400 for April.
there are 4 of us, me, DH, DS1 24 and DS2 20 plus cat and 2 dogs.
this budget is for food, toiletries, cleaning products and cat food. Dogs are on a seperate budget as they eat raw, mostly chicken carcusses and mince, although they do eat some of the fruit and veg.0 -
Right, I'm getting into this challenge now! I've downloaded an app on my phone called spendometer. I've set it at £500, so every time I do my food shopping I can put it into the app straight away! So far I've spent £14.04!0

Haven't done the Grocery Challenge for a while now (probably a couple of years!!) but have popped in from time to time to read a few bits and we want to go back to Disneyworld so all the savings I can make will mean it is one step closer, With my food bill steadily increasing, not entirely my fault prices keep going up by more than a penny a time!!! so thought I'd try to control it even more than I do normally. Month started on monday so a 5 week month so please put me down for £350 please as a starting point and I'll revise next month when I see how I do. Thanks and I look forward to saving loads!!Thanks to MSE savings we got to go to Disneyworld Florida.
