Hi, can I join please, I'll put down for £500 but have no idea how realistic that is really! We're a family of 6 plus a cat, I do cook most meals from scratch and often bulk cook too. At the moment I have a few batches of bolognese in the freezer after buying beef mince on a weekend offer0

Going to be at my Mother's for most of April so I'll say £70 - £20 should be more than enough for the weekend and the trip home (tends to involve a KFC outing halfway down the A1), especially as we need to run down the cupboards a bit. And £50 will go in the housekeeping at my Mum's. That seems a tad cheeky as normally we spend £200 for the two of us, but I will be eating at work a bit and away for 2 bouts of 3-4 days... I'll try and take my mum and sis out for a meal too *toddles off to check which restaurant deals are on next week*“Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goals.”

Hi all, thank you to all for your hard work creating these threads each month.xx
Did my first april spend yesterday. Bought oranges, apples, whoopsied raspberries and grapes, whoopsied mushrooms, cheese, and some other bits and bobs from c--p. came to £18, and of course used my membership card. hehe. i completed my 2wk meal plan in the afternoon based on what we already have, and then i knew exactly what i needed to get in addition.
when i get home tonight i am going to make a couple of mini corned beef hashes with 3/4 tin of corned beef i have leftover, two apple and raspberry crumbles, one of which will go in freezer, and some mushroom soup with veg stock from freezer that i made when i froze all my par-cooked fresh veg last month, which will probably make about 5-6 portions for lunches.
last night we had hm yorkshire puds filled with lo chicken, carrots, peas and gravy. was a big hit! and soooo cheap.
Happy saving everyone for April!!
