Well having added up the last lot of purchases (£120.57 includes £6.77 in Mr A's for a few bits and pieces but haven't included the £47 on clothes:eek::o mainly for DS but 2 pairs of shorts for me one of which I may take back) we spent a further £78 ish in Mr T's yesterday!!:eek:

I need to locate the receipt - again in the car! I feel I may not do as well this month and budget will be blown.... freezer has lots of meals in it though and May is a nightmare month for me at work so hopefully that'll mean less time to shop :rotfl:

Veggie box coming on Wednesday morning, so another £24.99 to add to the total! :o

Off to update siggy with the last spends, will add Mr T shop later...

I spent €126 in Mr SQ over the weekend. But I also had €7.50 off (voucher) and I got €15 worth of meat free (it was 3 for €10, and I had chosen 3 that were €5 each, and then when I complained about the chicken going off a couple of weeks ago before the BBD, she gave me the equivalent free so accepted that €10 to refund my €9 wasted spend!).

I had also spent €24 in M&S on Fri, to get the meal deal and a slow cook shoulder of lamb. The deal is €12.50 here, but the chicken I got was almost €14! And then rosemary potatoes, profiteroles (which we shared over 3 nights) and a bottle of wine. The leftovers from the lamb are making lunches for DH and I today and tomorrow. The chicken leftovers are making dinners tonight and possibly tomorrow as well (or I might freeze some).

The rest of the week is a night of burgers and oven chips (I had the buns and the burgers were in the meat deal - 6 for €5), chorizo potatoes (haven't had these in a while and DD asked specially), and sweet'n'sour prawns if necessary. We are away though for a few days, so it depends on what day we go (they're frozen prawns, so one of my emergency backup options).

What a great thread! I think I might like to join in with this challenge. I have to give it a bit of thought first to work out what might be a reasonable budget amount but I would really like to do this as I battle with self-restraint when it comes to shopping and maybe having to 'fess up to you lot will help me to have more will-power!
My problem is that I have two cats who simply will not eat anything but the most expensive brand of cat food, and a husband who really likes his meat!
And for those of you who are suffering with mental health problems, either your own or those of someone you love, you have my deepest sympathy and empathy - I have close experience of these through a family member and I know how devastating it can be. There also doesn't seem to be enough help out there, not only for the sufferer but also for the carer who gets dragged in and down by it all. Hugs to you all.

    Hi
I have officially failed this month. I've spent another £19.34 on various bits, cheese, washing liquid, and lots of other things I needed. Not payday until Tuesday so might have to spend more before I end my month. Will update signature now.
    Love to all

Not doing too good this month have been avoiding the big shop for as long as possible last bigish shop after my disaster one was just under £25 and then a little shop on thursday after i got back from A+E with my son that came to just under £10 so the change from both goes in the jar for the odd pint of milk or a loaf so that brings my april total to £59.98 spent and £30.02 to last til the 30th april not looking good may end up juggling other payments or just missing an odd one after all i'm told food comes under priority just not sure how long the stuff in the freezer will last its getting very low should be ok till next week then ?????? oh well we will just have to make the best of what weve got at least we got some stuff thats better than some
2nd purse challenge no040£0 Sealed pot challenge ???? £2 trolley find not counting small coins till end year

NSD today. Well, I say that, but I did spend in Starbucks. That's under 'entertainment for the holidays' budget, and tbh I can't remember the last time I went to one. Having been today, now I remember why I never go! Took the children to meet a mate, she suggested there (she doesn't have kids!!), and I had a hot chocolate. There was very little choice for the children, so they had an innocent smoothie each - at least it was 2 of their 5 a day!- but it cost me nearly £8!! It was over £2 for each drink, and I was thinking "I could make a 3 course meal for the price of each of these drinks!" Ridiculous!

Tomorrow will probably be a spend day, as I'm taking my children to Asd@ so they can buy me my birthday present! Having no other half is really hard sometimes! I like them to get me something though, as it teaches them good things for when they're older. I have to pay for my own present at the moment, pretending I can't see it in the trolley with my own shopping! They love to see my face when I open my present 'from them' on my birthday! Good times! I'll look back and remember this with them when I'm old and grey, and it'll give us smiles I'm sure!

Busy planning the menu for our Kate and Wills party. It's just the three of us and my best friend. Any ideas on patriotic party food?! I want us to do something the children will remember in 50 years' time! As I keep saying to everyone, we are in the middle of history! I know exactly where I was and what I was doing when Di died (not the same, I know, but still a big thing in history). The positives have to be marked, I feel.
