I took browned mince out of the freezer yesterday to make bolognaise, DD2 wanted to go to Morrisons after work, and insisted on buying us dinner (Fish and Chips). It was yummy. DGD had great fun trying to eat a burger and chips most of the meal ended up on the floor @ 7 months she doesn't have any table manners Lol. The staff were lovely and didn't mind the mess.

Anyway the mince can I use it today or will I have to toss it?

Right - got some receipts from DH so need to add them up and sort out siggy, need to put them in the spending diary I am trying to do this month so that I can show him what we spend money on and how much of that is for beer!!!!!!! Grrrrrr

    Hi Helen,

I feel for you, I really do. :grouphug: OH's beer was a huge impact on our out of control spending in the days before the gc. Because it always got 'disguised' with other expensive carp we also didn't need, it was largely invisible for a long time. The way I dealt with it was to take all alcohol out of the gc (with the exception of party provision for visitors very rarely) and make it personal spending. OH (and I) now has £15 per week pocket money and he can spend it all on beer if he wants but that's it. _pale_ No subs, no borrowing, he gets by on that alone. :naughty:

You could of course set any amount you like (I'm a meanie apparently :rotfl:) but always make it fair to you as well. I have my £15 going by standing order into my own bank account every Friday where it gets stashed until I want to buy something for me. It works really well. Anyway, I hope that might help a little. :D

I have to get going in to the office now so hope to be back on later but if not, have a great weekend all.

    All the best,
    Spigs

    another newbie joining in.....

My freezers, and cupboards (including under the beds!!) are rammed full at the moment due to finding app foods and bargain foods so the budget is the same as ever this month £300 but I am aiming for a LOT lower as we are v.v.v.v.v.v. skint! Forgot to say this is for 2 adults (one builder iwht big appetite!), two littlies (but with big appetites!!), one dog, two cats, a rat and soon to be some chickens......

    Off to make some bread....

    Hi everyone,

due to the ridiculous overspend last month, I'll be keeping a close eye on things for April. Already spent £4.08 on some cheese and ham for my loved one's lunches. Need to be better if I'm going to stick to the budget. good luck everyone x
