Hello everyone.
After my disastrous month in March I'm here to try and do better in April.
Can I please have my usual £135 for April MrsM?Grocery Challenge Jan 24 0/300
Grocery Challenge 13 -spent £1453.06
Grocery Challenge 12 -spent £1565.510 -
DR Lamb Valentine steaks - delish. Very quick to cook and so very tender. Bay tree redcurrant and rosemary sauce is brilliant. Has anyone got a recipe for something similar as its quite expensive.
Chicken fajitas tomorrow night with sorry looking peppers.
Menu planning this weekend - catering for 7 hungry divers for 10 days in South of France (well 6 plus me) I'm quite good at catering on a grand scale for 1 meal, but this could be a challenge. Particularly as 2 are 'reformed' vegetarians so meat needs to be kept to a minimum and my french isn't great.GC Mar 13 £47.36/£1500 -
Hi! I've never done this before, but I really need to cut down on my food spending. I'm going to start just a little lower than before and hopefully work myself down more so could I be put down for £85 for this month please?0

just been to a local discount shop and spent £55.65 :o managed to get quite a bit (DH bought 6 M+S keylime pies ) got plenty of chicken , sausage , pop, yoghurts, which should last a month that said i still need to go to the supermarkets tomorrow for fresh stuff
hoping it will even out over the month0 -
Well, it begins tomorrow. I intend to stick to this budget this time. Luckily, I don't need anything from the shops, but might have to go over the weekend to the supermarket to get some orange juice for DH. So far, I've planned a mealplan to try and use up some stuff from the freezer, and am thinking that a cupboard inventory wouldn't be a bad thing either. I'm thinking of doing some baking this weekend. I have most things in but want to try something different (and fruity). I have to say I'm really looking forward to this month. Here's hoping I can finish under budget this time!
Best of luck, everyone.
