take care tess
I have a book called All Good things around us by Pamela Michael, which has loads of recipes for nettles and other hedgerow stuff - as well as Nettle Soup there's recipes for Nettle and Oatmeal stuffing for chicken, Baked nettles and potatoes, Dried nettle tea, Nettle pudding, Spiced Nettles with oatmeal, Nettle hair rinse and tonic ..
this review of the book says it all (mine is also the BCA version) and its definitely worth keeping an eye open for it in the CS's... don't throw the string away. You always need string!

Hello, may I join please - me and DD and cupboards groaning fit to burst with food, but I always think I have "nothing in" and end up wasting lots of money....this month is going to be scarily tight, so I'd like to keep to£100 for the month, hopefully doable as DD will be away for some of it, just have to hope that my beloved boyfriend doesn't come up with too many sophisticated, romantic meal ideas that I'll happily cook for us!!
I don't mind him spending a fortune on good wine for us (we don't live together, so no joint finances....yet) but I can't always afford to buy ingredients for these scrumptious meals! It's a pain as we don't eat meat and he does and is also wheat/gluten/dairy intolerant so finding meals we can all eat when together can be slightly challenging at times!

I've told DH that I want EVERY receipt that crosses his palm for the entire month as when I checked the bank balance in detail there were spends that I know nothing about!! Grrrrhelen i told my oh that but he never gets receits and he can never remeber exact amounts he has got alot better now tho, if i send him for a loaf of bread all he gets is a loaf of bread
I've trained OH to pass over every receipt, also if he buys anything whilst at work (very early Tuesday to very late Thursday) he also has to email me the spend so I can keep track. I sound like a control freak, but since doing this he has been more organised with the food he takes to work, also he has stopped buying coffees, sweets & snacks when commuting, which is both money saving and healthier.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

Sent DH to Mr T as no car. £11.72 and he only bought what was on the list I gave him. Yay. That should do us for the next week and he's away next weekend so this is really working.
