Afternoon All - Hope we are well
Pen Pin sorry for your loss - such a shame, thoughts are with you
DLB - How was footy?
Was up till gone 4am this morning. So Im very tired, Had to go with mum and take her cat to the vets for check up. (Cat lives with me) She poo'd n wee'd just as we got her in the carrier (cat - not me mum). Everything's fine.
Then went back into town and finished my Xmas shopping. Yippeeee !!
Did big shop in Tesco after town, 2 weeks worth of snap, pack up stuff, toiletries, etc, £65 - well chuffed with that. Only thing I forgot was Stardrops (doh)
Going to make late breakfast/dinner - fry/grill up - not healthy I know, but not had 1 for - gosh I cant remember its been that long. Then I think an afternoon nap is in order. Kids are with their dad till 7pm, so can chill out till then. He was kind enough (for a change) to have my dog also over night, so I was able to wash all her bedding.
Catch you later peeps - take care and enjoy rest of the day

Afternoon all.
Had a great day out yesterday, no trophies but the band played really well:j . A long day though, didn't get in till 9pm.
So far today I have stripped the beds, dusted the whole house, cleaned the kitchen and the bathroom, 1 load of washing done and hung on the airers.
Have also been to visit my dad and took DD to the park on her bike. Was really nice and crisp at the park, so treated DD and DH to a hot chocolate with marshmallows and a sausge roll
Have vegged out on the sofa this afternoon and read the sunday papers and had a surf. Tea tonight is HM chilli with Nachos and mince pies and custard for pud.
Hope you have a good evening.0 -

mineallmine wrote:susiesaver - sorry to hear about your arthritis - have you tried taking ginger? This guy I knew, who was a sports injury therapist really suffered with his hands - I told him about ginger - which is supposed to be fab for this sort of thing and it really helped him. Worth giving a shot maybe.

Happy birthday twink! :bdaycake: (are you on a sugar rush yet?)
I've finished my book! Hope you have a good evening :j
Can't believe its Sunday already: where did the weekend go?
Its been a lovely weekend though, so no complaints at all. Got a busy week ahead - only 4 weeks left to the holidays and I have the feeling they'll be non-stop.
I've been doing a bit more christmas shopping - only a few things left to get now, so must start putting everything together. Got about 1/2 my christmas cards finished too, but kyle has given me a *huge* bag of books, so don't know how much more I'll get done for the next few days
Anyway, must go and get the WM on and I think it's time for :coffee: There's a definate chill in the air though its been quite mild today: long may it continue!
PP - sorry to hear about your friend
*hugs* to all - take or leave as you please

Have you been peeking in my kitchen today?taplady wrote:... Roast is cooking(chicken) and have made some of Queenie's Jam Crumblies which are very popular in our house!:D
D11yo made some crumblies, but he used minced meat instead (seasonal thing  ) Our chicken went down a storm today, it's ages since we had a 'real' roast dinner, so it was much appreciated by all :T
One hiccup, d12yo kindly did the washing up (aww, bless!) even the roasting pan from the roast potatoes ... trouble is, I used real beef dripping for the roasties and he chose to ... pour the leftover dripping down the sink :wall: :wall: :wall: Yes, you've guessed it, one blocked pipe! Don't have a plunger and it was too blocked to even think about putting/pouring anything down to flush it, so I had to use my hand/palm as a plunger  That will be 2 lessons/life skills the lads learned today:-
1) do *not* pour fat of any description down the sink
2) *real* women use their hands for a good grip/suction action; no plunger necessary
 oops, just thought of their 3rd lesson of the day ...
3) hormonal mothers do *not* appreciate blocked sinks
Still can't complain, I was actually very grateful for his offer to wash up in the first place
Had to take a break from knitting that scarf ... I've learned that I really do not have the patience for knitting and should stick to quilting!!
All uniforms ironed and ready for the week; d11yo's ingredients all ready for his Food Tech lesson tomorrow (marzipan-ing his mini Christmas cake
)
Bags/books all ready for the week; menu plan all drawn up.
Ahhhhh, now I can sit down and forget about that lot (*and* the knitting!!!)~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
