Will you be the first to complain when there isn't enough money allocated to your area for, roads, transport, education, health, public services etc etc, because the government didn't know how many people live in your area or the relevant information about them to correctly allocate budgets and resources because their census forms were chucked in the bin?...........thought so!

Wow, your area must be really great, which area you in? I'd like to move where roads, transport, education, health, public services are are fully operational and funded.

Personally I think it was slightly on the harsh side of fair comment, but nowhere near rude and personal. I think your lack of contrition when admitting to doing a silly thing was a bit self-righteously rude however. But my point is not to criticise you, it is to stand up for the nice person whose behaviour has been wrongly criticised.

Implying someone is stupid is rude, no matter which way you angle it or look at it, its also personal, i saw a woman cry once because her boss had branded her stupid in front of the staff in the shop.

So your not at all worried about Lockheed getting your details and more MP's "losing" your files and data on more than 1 occasion?

It might interest you to know that one of the reason a lot of areas have been underfunded, is because last census missed over 1000000 people though actions like yours and therefore the government underallocated resources to areas. Then again, maybe not...

If you don't fill it in then you will probably get a visit from the "enforcer" (word used very loosely here :D) and potentially a £1000 fine if prosecuted. I'm sure I read somewhere that 38% of non respondents to the last survey were prosecuted and in terms of actual numbers it seemed quite high - can't remember how many though.

In the last census in 2001 it was actually 38 people who were prosecuted (not 38%).

    I'm curious.

What MP lost my file and when?

I stand corrected - thank you Sir!

I did wonder - it seemed so high that it would have been major news at the time and I couldn't remember hearing about it :D
