Hi, am i the only person on this entire website that has dumped this census in the bin the day it was shoved through my letterbox? It didn't have my name on it, just "the occupier" like spam, so i chucked it.

Your aware that there is the possibility of you getting a big fine for not completing your form.. They will actually send round an advisor to talk through with you about it first though..

But i did put next door but 5's in the recycling. Not my fault if the postman can't read.

For those of you who have binned your census forms please note.

    You are

    A. Adding to the waste mountain.

    B. Costing the country thousands of pounds having to print extra forms

    C. Costing the country thousands of pounds employing people to knock on doors to help/find out why they have not got your forms back.

Now do you really think that that is not stupid.

Will you be the first to complain when there isn't enough money allocated to your area for, roads, transport, education, health, public services etc etc, because the government didn't know how many people live in your area or the relevant information about them to correctly allocate budgets and resources because their census forms were chucked in the bin?...........thought so!

  • If you don't fill it in then you will probably get a visit from the "enforcer" (word used very loosely here :D) and potentially a £1000 fine if prosecuted. I'm sure I read somewhere that 38% of non respondents to the last survey were prosecuted and in terms of actual numbers it seemed quite high - can't remember how many though.
