This takes me back! my grandma used the little be-ro book all the time, think I'll go to Morrisons and treat myself to one! Thanks OP for bringing this up.Slightly bitter0

This might seem a little petty to some.....But, I prefer to work in lbs and oz when baking (it's a bit of a pet hate when I'm not given a choice)
So, can anyone tell me if the book still lists lbs/oz, please?0 -
Well Lily-Lu, my book is the 40th edition, and I've had it about 5 years and it has both metric and imperial measurements given for each recipe, so I would imagine they still use this format now.
If you have a look at the website, link given above, the recipes there are in both measurements.

Edited to add: Just looked at the site, and mine seems to be the most recent edition, so the answer is Yes!
It's only a game

Very good point - I hadn't noticed that but I have now sent an email to them about lack of bread recipes - lets see if I get a response and what happens!0 -

Many thanks Mrsbartolozzi and Leed. I know the website lists both, but thought that perhaps the new version of the book might not.
Cheers both :beer:0 -

Just wondering, do Be-Ro do a bread/strong flour? Can't say I've noticed one while browsing the isles....But, not actually conciously looked for one, so not sure. If they don't then maybe that's why there's a lack of bread recipes.0 -

My mum had one of these years ago, she would let me choose a recipe and we would make it together. I vaguely remember a recipe for pigs in blankets!
Her copy has long gone, probably lost in a house move, so I have purchased one for myself and one for her as a stocking filler.0
