Got my copy of the new BeRo cookbook in yesterdays post! (3 weeks from applying!) Lots in there that I want to try now and have even got a new griddle for the scotch pancakes, mind you I have been promising myself one of these since the kitchen was renewed.
Squeaky Thank you for the information on this as they accepted my cheque for 99p so very happy.
Spends you're absolutely right, although a little book that takes up hardly any room on the bookcase it does have a lot of good recipes and info in it. So have confessed to OH that yet another cookbook has joined the collection;)Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

I've decided to keep my old Be-Ro book as well as the new one as there are a couple of recipes that haven't been repeated. There are tons of new ones, and I was leafing through it last night. But I couldn't find quick bread, and I use that one a lot - well, I did, before the arrival of the bread machine ...spendy/she/her ***DEBT-FREE DATE: 11 NOVEMBER 2022!*** Highest debt: £35k (2006) MY WINS: £3,541 CASH; £149 Specsavers voucher; free eye test; goody bag from Scottish Book Trust; tickets to Grand Designs Live; 2-year access to Feel Amazing App (worth £100); Home Improvement & Renovation Show tickets; £50 to spend on chocolate; Harlem Globetrotters tickets; Jesus Christ Superstar tickets + 2 t-shirts; Guardians of the Galaxy goody bag; Birmingham City v Barnsley FC tickets; Marillion tickets; Dancing on Ice tickets; Barnsley FC v Millwall tickets0

I don't have quick bread in either of mine. They're obviously too new. Must keep an eye open for cheap second hand old ones.spendaholic wrote:I've decided to keep my old Be-Ro book as well as the new one as there are a couple of recipes that haven't been repeated. I was wondering if anyone could tell me whether the book available for 99p has a recipe for a chocolate cake that uses evaporated milk ??
This was my fave as a kid - my mum and I have been searching high and low for the book but it seems to have dissapeared !!
I'll have my cheque in the post today if it has that recipe (especially as its FULL of other yummy recipes)
Thanks ! :T0 -
YES it has

When you go onto the site to get your book follow the links for Recipe (inspirations I think) and you'll find the recipe listed there so you can check it out to make sure it's the one you remember
