Is it worth doing? Quick answer: no! For details, just glance through this thread. I, personally, would not go near Lovefilm again, and it seems many others on this thread would join me on that.0 -
Just wanted to say thank you to all on this thread as I kept persevering with lovefilm (despite numerous inconsistent emails with them trying to fob me off with various statements about what I was and wasn't entitled too) - and it finally paid off as I received my £15 boots vouchers in the post this morning0

Even if I get the voucher,it wasnt worth the hassle trying to get it.0

AAaaaahHHhHh
Getting right narked with this lot now, im up to about 6 emails , all giving different reasons why Ive not got my voucher, the latest one they are sticking with is not having 10 titles added on the same date.
I know this not to be true as i sat there a bloomin age bored to tears copying them over from my other rental providers !!
Is there any way i can provide them with proof myself just to shut them up ?
At least not everyone has this much hassle

Well, got my vouchers this morning and have had a couple of pms asking how i signed up etc so here are the details if anyone still fancies a dabble with Lovefilm (or maybe another company in future)
29/11 - signed up to lovefilm
30/11 - received confirmation email
30/11 - put 15 titles in my rental list
02/12 - received 1st 2 dvds
09/12 - returned them in envelope provided
11/12 - they were confirmed as received by lovefilm
13/12 - received next 2 dvds
14/12 - returned them in envelope provided
16/11 - cancelled subscription online - gave reason as poor quality dvds
17/11 - got email confirming my cancellation
18/11 - the 2 dvds confirmed as received by lovefilm
no mention of vouchers at this point and heard nothing till I emailed them last night. Then the vouchers came in todays post anyway!
When i cancelled i still had 11 titles on my list and can still see them on my online account, even though it is closed.
my top tips would be to read t&c's VERY carefully (mind you, i'm sure we all will from now on!) , and make sure you follow them to the letter. I did not watch the dvds I received on 13/12 as I was worried about Christmas post delaying their return so just put them straight back in the post.
With the lovefilm offer you must cancel before day 21. Give yourself plenty of time - don't leave it till day 20. cancel on about 15 / 16th day latest, that way you have time to chase it up.
Also make sure you are not TOO fast with your returns - if you take delivery of dvd no. 7 before day 21 - YOU WILL BE CHARGED !!!!
If you are just signing up for vouchers (like me) then forget about watching the films! my first two sat around the house for days before we watched them - big mistake - they are probably banking on you forgetting to return them in time.
I did not know all this before I did it (as much by good luck as good management). Personally I would not sign up to Lovefilm for the dvds as the ones I got were very poor quality, scratched and grubby and one out of four was not what I wanted either.
Sorry it's a bit long , but hope it helps answer a few questions.credit card debt at LBM Nov 2006 £11,300:eek:

Well I got my vouchers this morning much to my surprise considering that only yesterday they sent me an email saying that I was not entitled to the vouchers because I didn't have 10 DVD's in my selection.
