    Hi there, i signed up on 30/11 and cancellation was confirmed on 18/12 after i received and returned 4 discs. i did have 14 on my list. Voucher should have been here 30 / 12 but nothing so far. Can anyone advise - should i contact lovefilm first or boots or both?

    I can't recall seeing anyone who has followed the T&Cs but closed the account saying they've had one.

    see my post above for full details, but i got my vouchers after cancelling, although did get stung for one months subscription!

    I signed up and received 6 dvds, cancelled before the end of the trial period and haven't been charged anything by Lovefilm. I have had my vouchers, although I did have to send them a couple of emails to remind them that I had fulfilled the t&c's in registering.

    Good luck and let me know if you want any further details of the emails I wrote.

  • I recently posted saying that i had been told that i would not get my £15 voucher as i had to become a paying member of lovefilms and i had cancelled before i had to pay. Sent them a reply stating that it didn't say that in terms and conditions and copied the terms in the email. Just had a reply to say that i will be getting voucher now.

    So if anyone else is having problems give them hell.

    Just have to wait and see if the voucher arrives.

    OK, all joking aside: Edna's post is spot on as ever. bluestu being "stung" pretty much makes that voucher transaction outwith everything else. And sadly, redballoon seems not to have conformed exactly to the T&Cs and durkin seems to have been similarly trapped.

    barmycow and purplestar fared better though under the actual T&Cs. But that's only two (apologies: haven't time to sift thru the rest of the thread).

    Don't know where boc is, but boc and I both signed/registered on the same day (November 29th). And firework did so the next day. And unless boc is going to post something different here, then that's three who're still waiting and conformed to the T&Cs -- three on this thread: Lord knows how many others there are elsewhere. Sorry, four: tankgirl is patiently waiting, too.

    Edna's post identifies the crux of the issue. And yes, I'm still waiting for mine. And if it isn't here on Monday, then I'll email for info. And after that, well. . .

    'S up to you, firework, but I certainly wouldn't contact Boots first. See what Lovefilm has to say: no reason to give that company any justification for regarding MSErs as unreasonable people.

    PS: bluestu is definitely off my Christmas card list now that the !!!!!! has been out spending £30 of vouchers. ONE OF THEM IS MINE!!!!!!!!!! ;););)

    Just to let you all know

    I joined up for this twice (once at my house, once at my mothers)
    On both occasions I followed the guides and cancelled just before the 21 days

    It took around 7 weeks but I eventually got my vouchers (for both of the addresses).

    I have now spent the weekend, spending £5 at a time and buying some No 7 and expensive shampoo (that I wouldnt normally buy because of the price!) each time I get an £8 voucher which entitles me to £5 off No 7 Products and £3 off certain hair products.

    So for my FREE £30 I have now ended up with around £80 worth of Boots goods!!!!!
    Its great I stocked up on baby wipes, Calpol, No 7 goodies and really nice hair products!!!

    So it may take time but the voucher could still arrive!!!

    ps This was with no calls/emails needed to push Lovefilm or Boots on!!

    I am having a bad time with lovefilm. I cancelled after watching my first 2 dvds - it was over christmas and I didnt think I would get the other dvds in time. I had an email fromthem saying that the cancellation process was in motion. The next day, I had an email saying that more dvds where on their way! This would take me over the trial period and so I sent them an email explaining that I had already cancelled. They allowed me an extra day to receive the dvds and return them! Talk about unreasonable. Obviously I couldnt return them in time and they took the money from my bank account saying I was not entitled to a refund. Hmm, the battle begins to get my money back - I havent even gotten into the missing boots vouchers yet!

    I conformed to the T and Cs but still haven't received anything. I applied on 29th November too, but it was only confirmed on 30th November. Emailed Boots and Lovefilm on Thurs, still no response from Boots (grrrrr...) but got a response from Lovefilm saying they can't find me on their database. Well that's convenient isn't it?:angry:

    They can give me whatever excuse they like, I will keep on at them til I get what I'm entitled to!
