Free £15 Boots voucher and Lovefilm DVD rental trial

I joined lovefilms for the £15 voucher, i have cancelled in time and had no charges. But i emailed them asking about when i would get the voucher and my reply was,

Thank you for contacting LOVEFiLM. We do understand from your email that you have concerns regarding £15 boots voucher.

We have reviewed your account information and see that your account has been cancelled within your free trial period. We would like to inform you that the customers become entitled to received this voucher only when they become a paying member with us.

If you have any other questions then do please let us know, otherwise welcome back and we hope that you will continue to enjoy using LOVEFiLM.


I have emailed them back with a copy of their terms and conditions which doesn't say this.

Has anyone any other suggestions of what to do?

I got the vouchers! I got the vouchers! :j Now to get them to cancel my account so that I'm not stung for yet another month. Will be giving such offers a wide berth in future. Thanks for all the advice and hope everyone gets sorted too.

I also forgot to mention that I emailed Lovefilm to ask where my voucher was ... they emailed me back saying I did not qualify cause I had cancelled BLAH BLAH. I got home that night and the vouchers has already been delivered .... so they clearly just dont have a SCOOBY what they are doing!

I've never posted before.... Just sent an e-mail chasing my vouchers - lets hope they come!! Thanks for the useful info wasnt sure what I should do till read it.

Chemical warfare is illegal. Carpet bombing has been outlawed. Weapons of Mass destruction are expressly prohiobited unless contained in a secret dossier dropped from a great height by a Mr Scarlet. Or Ms Scarlet. Or Colonel Plum (whichever is head of MI5 nowadays).

Best thing is to await the attack of the hobnail boots from MSE, which is actually far more intimidating than any of the above.

Also: see kittykat's great post -- Lovefilm don't have a clue wot they're saying or doing.

Especially when they're saying and doing it to customers.

Your voucher could well turn up tomorrow. So could mine. So could boc's.





Darn it. I've looked everywhere on the MSE smilies and not one of 'em represents a flying pig.

Also (small print) remember on whom you have to spend your £15 voucher, sorry, but it's in the new Lovefilm T&Cs. . .

Hi all.

I have had an email from Love film saying that I am not eligiable for a voucher as i did not add 10 dvds on to my rental list on the day of signing up!! what can I do?

like many i got charged 9.95 for getting the dvd back a day late! (when you use the service you seem to get a 2 day turn around on dvds, but when you send back to cancel it suddenly takes 4 days!!)
i complained to lovefilm and got a discourteous reply saying i wouldnt get vouchers, there fore complained to boots via email, who forwarded my complaint to lovefilm, got an email of a senior customer relations guy who said i would be entitled to vouchers and was on the list, however as i hadnt received any he would arrange another set to be sent out, hey presto 15 boots vouchers yesterday.....and another 15 pound today!!!! checked my advantage account and got 239 points as well!!

So in the end i received approx £32.39 worth of boots stuff for 9.95!!

who says lovefilm are bad!!!!

wouldnt touch em with a barge pole again though!!!
