Just to let you all know my situation, I signed up around the 5th/6th of Dec, cancelled the 14th after 6 films (i think) and sent an email checking my voucher was on its way, got this today ,

We have verified your account and see that your account has been cancelled on 14/12/2006. We are sorry to let you know that you are not entitled for the £15 boots voucher as you have not rented 10 titles. We are sorry for the inconvenience caused to you.

No Mishka. You haven't. It's just Lovefilm, penning an invitation to Trading Standards. . .
Unless, of course, every single one of the reasons devised so far to achieve a blatant breach of contract is actually the result of poor staff training, evidenced here in the behaviour of a wide variety of employees who keep acting entirely without the company's knowledge or authorisation.
Be a shame, were such a thing happening to a company with so unblemished a track record prior to this Boots voucher offer.0 -
have had 2 payments taken out of my bank account, have received nothing
from Love Film, no letter, no email, no videos and definately no boots

I was lucky enough to have my account cancelled on the last possible day, so that was a good result. Like everyone else, I haven't received my £15 voucher so thought I'd e-mail them. I couldn't remember the exact date I'd signed up so went onto the Lovefilm site to see if there was any information there. I was somewhat surprised when I got onto the site to see that it still has all my credit card etc details there. Aren't they supposed to delete all this if you cancel?

Lynne: other posters have also complained about Lovefilm's retention of personal and financial data after a subscriber has left.
It's possible their reason for doing so is to keep track of who has "benefited" from a previous "offer" and who hasn't.
** Be interested to hear what response you received to your email query about non-receipt of the £15 Boots voucher. Like other MSErs, I'm still waiting for mine -- 40 days since account activation, and counting. . .If you can post an update here, that'd be appreciated: thanks!

Ive just received another email, asking me to confirm that i only had 1 account with them that is now cancelled so presumably they will try and claim that I have to be a current member to get the voucher, this looks like it going to take a while to resolve so i would advise you all to start asking where your vouchers are now rather than waiting for their 'due' date.
