I have just received a new mailing for this today as well.

Yes I can confirm that those offer emails are doing the rounds again. I emailed back to ask why a reputable company like Boots were still plugging a dodgy outfit like Lovefilm.

Can I add that even though I haven't had anything to do with this offer I did sign up with Lovefilm from a previous flyer from Boots promising 750 advantage points for registering. T&C's very much the same as for this offer, register, select 10 titles, cancel within so many days etc etc.

My experience with them was equally frustating  as all the posters on this thread, wrong dvds being sent, damaged etc. I think we only had 1 dvd to watch that we wanted to and 1 playstation game. I managed to cancel my membership just in time - which was a game in itself. I waited and waited for my points and what a supprise no joy  Email and email Lovefilm, got nowhere. Evenually range them on a freephone number and the guy in CS basically said that I would have to wait and he needed to check with his supervisor.

Bit fed up at this point so rang Boots explained the situation and Boots manually credited me the 750 points. I was happy, however I checked my AC balance in the little machine in Boots the other day and low and behold - 750 points credited on my card from..............

Yes you've guessed it - Lovefilm. Took 'em 5 months! So there could possibly be hope for all you guys yet :rotfl: :rotfl: .............. but don't hold yer breath!

You can discover more about a person in an hour of play than in a year of conversation.
    Plato ;) Make £2018 in 2018 no. 37 - total = £1626.25/£2018 :j

I am waiting for Martin's mid-january update as I believe only one person has got the voucher on this thread.
and that from Boots itself as I recall. This group of con artists should be closed down.

Wait until after 10pm and cancel online on the website. Saves giving them even more money via their 0870 number.

Hi Ellie's Mum: glad it worked out OK for you. Unfortunately for Lovefilm though, 5 months doesn't cut it where contract terms are concerned.

Prospective subscribers were given a clarification of the promise "£15 Boots voucher when you register", viz: the voucher will be despatched within 30 days of registration. Had Lovefilm had wished to vary that date, it could have done so then. It didn't. Tough.

Like hambrook, I too await Martin's overview, though it's a shame he even has to bother: my own sentiments increasingly echo those of slarge, edna, deanos, grenny and other MSErs who've been good enough to monitor the Lovefilm situation.

As things stand, ONE person on this thread has received a voucher. . . but it was from Boots.

Which means that NO MSEr on this thread has received any voucher from Lovefilm.

So. . . Four more days to go (45 days after my registration, allowing Lovefilm a 50% over-shoot on its timing) and then I'll be chasing up my voucher, too.

How much time have you given Lovefilm?

No point in appearing unfair or unreasonable; Lovefilm said despatch would be within 30 days of you registering, so precisely when you chase 'em up depends on how much slack you're prepared to allow Lovefilm out of the kindness of your generous heart. :j

As to making contact with Lovefilm about this or anything else: remember, phone conversations don't count. Put everything in writing. If you think you've waited long enough, then an email to Customer Services would be a start.
