Hey grenny, that's great stuff: well done on the Boots info.

I'm wondering if it's a good idea, or a complete waste of time, for Boots to be told that its voucher T&Cs are seriously misleading:

    * Lovefilm does not take credit/debit card details merely for identity purposes but for charging without specific authorisation;

    * the 21-day cancellation deadline is --according to Lovefilm itself -- actually only 16 days.

    codger:

I'd suggest its a great idea to let Boots know that Lovefilm is making an excellent effort to drag the 'Boots' name thru the mud...

Lovefilm (well ALL companies; e.g CPW) must learn not to treat customers so badly. Its been going on far too long in this millenium..
They get away with it because people dont shout out about it or make a fuss.

Can you believe that last email I posted??

Heres another from a previous time (follow the replies from the bottom):
    Dear Grenny,
Thank you for your recent email with regards your LOVEFiLM account.
We can confirm that your cancellation request has been processed and no further discs will be sent out to you.
Please return your DVDs to us as soon as possible so your cancellation may be completed. Please note your account will remain active and billed normally until the discs have returned to us. Finally we would like to thank you for using LOVEFiLM and if at any time you wish to come back then simply login with your old details, and follow the link on the Home page to reactivate your account.
    Kind regards,

    Dear Grenny,

Thank you for your recent email with regards your LOVEFiLM account.

We can confirm that your cancellation request was misunderstood and that as our records show that you sent us two emails on that subject, we will therefore re-activate your account with two subscriptions and 16 further discs will be sent out to you.

Finally we would like to thank you for using LOVEFiLM and at any time you wish to simply login with your details, and follow the link on the Home page to your account, you will be able to see the second mortgage charge we have placed against your property, as per the terms & conditions not mentioned in the Boots free trial offer.

    Kind regards,
  • I did a similar deal with lovefil in october which promised me 4 free vue cinema tickets - hey guess what - still waiting for them( 6 emails on...) . They are trying to say that I had to have 10 titles listed at all times to qualify for the voucher but i did not see that anywhere.
    Suggestions please!
  • You need to look at your own T&Cs of that offer, but the usual terms of a Lovefilm offer is that you have to create a list of 10 at registration, not have one "at all times" - never heard of that before.

Complain direct to Vue if you get no luck and make them aware they're not the only company Lovefilm are causing problems for.
