Mornining all
Thank you all so much for the warm welcome back :j
I had a great nights sleep and am raring to go, have a friend coming over today, so a nice long walk with all the kids is planned, then back home later to work on the veggie patch. Hopefully this will all tire me out again!Do you want to join what is left of the April challenge? A possible 12 days up for grabs and you have one of them already
Hi Shaggy  oh a target, that sounds scary! Can you put me down for 10 than if I slip I've got a buffer, if not I'll exceed my target!
issytm I am not the best person to give advise as I find it difficult not to listen to that inner voice that says 'you've worked hard etc one won't hurt' unfortunatley for me it never is just one . However when I keep myself busy, come on here and everytime I think of buying alcohol tell myself that thats £5 more debt V's £5 less I can sometimes (Im determind it will be always) be stronger an say no I don't need you. I keep lots of nice but cheap flavoured fizzy water in the fridge too as I find I am used to having a drink nearby! Hope that helps a little.
Have a fab day everyone,
Mari xx0 -

Back on wagon today. Each day I'm going to come on here and do a bit of a diary entry (hope no-one minds) to ty and keep myself on track.

Morning All
It's so good to see so many AFD's every morning, especially with the nice warm evenings we've been having. Not long now 'til the BH weekend!! I think i'll mostly be missing the fruit cider while sitting in the sunshine
All back to normal in the Rainman household last night. I'm not sure if it was 2 or 3 that MrR polished off - I can't remember if there was 1 or 2 bottles of White in the fridge. But he was moaning when I got home from work, he was a pain all evening, and he ended the night getting in a strop with the tv and announcing he was gonna "smash up the tv and Sky box with a baseball bat". I'm just so immune to it, all I could say was "off you go then". *SIGH*
Hope you all have good day today, and get to enjoy this fab sunshine we're having.

Day 1
Woke up feeling low and ashamed. Was horrible to OH last night, and for no discernable reason other than that I'd had a drink.
How do I feel this morning? Starving. Just ate three rounds of toast and two cups of coffee.
Also very annoyed that I ruined what was , potentially, a nice evening as Piglet out at my Mum and Dads
Don't want this feeling anymore so am determined to stop. Today I plan to go to a shop and stock up on low calorie fizzy drinks - sparkling water, lime etc. Think I need an alternative to a glass of wine.
My face is puffy and blotchy today too. Not a good look! Tonight I plan on doing myself a facial and have an early night.
So there it is...plan for day one.:)

Miss P - You've been doing so well so don't get down about 1 little slip. Yesterday was bound to be difficult; being back at work, having the afternoon to yourself, and the sunshine. Chin up chick, today is a new day

Hey Miss P, chin up chick, sending you big hugs (((:)))), what youv'e just written is exactly how I've been feeling, so we're in this together! I think the key is to keep busy and keep posting!
Take care,

Miss Piggy I don't mind updates from you!
Shaggy I have often thought about your "Death by a thousand cuts" quote. It has helped draw my attention to the long journey. So thank you for that and of course the thread!
issytm. Try any trick in the book to have one day. Best one is no alcohol in the house and a determined walk past the shops!!!! My mum used to put the money she saved not buying cigarettes in a jar to focus herself on a goal.
1 for the school night Bearacus and that makes 11 for the challenge Shaggy!0 -
