  • Hi everyone, its been a long time since I`ve posted anything on this forum but I always intended to drop in and say hello when I reached my 1 year AFness. Well its happened as of yesterday. On the 10th December 2010 I took my last alcoholic drink. If there is anybody out there who is wondering what being tee-total is like I would just like to say ITS AMAZING !!! There is life after alcohol (and its pretty damn good :j).....xx

Congratulations Trasijoche and ISOM - awesome achievements - I wish I had the inclination to follow you but I find that I like a bit of wine now and then.
That said I had a bit too much on Friday, just joined in the atmosphere at a get together, and ended up with a hangover yesterday - stupid as I had so little time to get everything done!
Still haven't sorted out my christmas present situation and have little inclination to do so - bah humbug.
    Trying to keep in budget.

It's so heart-warming to know that many people follow this thread who've appreciated its support the past.

:wave:trasijocha and many congratulations on your anniversary, and thanks ISOM for starting the thread originally although you pre-date me by a long way. It was a fantastic idea of yours and so many of us have reason to thank you.

I've done exactly what I planned which was to cut down, as well as the health and financial benefits, it's also helped me lose 3.5 stone in weight:j So you can see that I have a lot to say thank you for.:T

May I have 3 for the SNC this week please Bearacus? Christmas meal out tomorrow evening but will be moderate.

    Hi Guys:j:j

Me too maman...I always lurk on a sunday night and can`t resist popping in here to have a quick look. This thread supported me through the toughest time ...dealing with the debt & the drink problem it kept me sane....so well done to everyone involved.

Still teetotal (since 28th Aug 2009) , still single & still debt free...maybe I`ll tackle the `still single` issue one day but for now I`m doing OK.

    Have a great week everyone.

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.
