What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -

Well its happened as of yesterday. On the 10th December 2010 I took my last alcoholic drink. If there is anybody out there who is wondering what being tee-total is like I would just like to say ITS AMAZING !!! There is life after alcohol (and its pretty damn good :j).....xx

Morning all
Please put me down for 4 SNC this week Bearacus and 5 AFDs for Dec so far please Shaggy. Had a rough start to the month but I feel a bit more in control now and I'm hopefully back on track to manage 16 this month. I know in my right mind that its better to manage all the stress sober/not hungover but my wrong mind says "blah sucks pants to that girl a big glass of red will make it all go away for a while". I think that's the bit of drinking that has me hooked - it kind of turns everything else off for a while.0 -
Sorry forgot to do the bold - 4 please for SNC and 5 please for DEC0

Hi All - no AFD's for me this weekend , got a busy week ahead with a night out planned for Thursday so could you put me down for just 3 for this week’s SNC please bearacus
Well done Trasijocha and So Sad Angel on your ongoing AFness and thank you for popping back to share your success, I hope to be able to do the same some day..... and a great big thank you In Search Of Me for starting this thread back in the day x
The last 7 months since embracing the support from the wonderful folk here have been nothing short of life changing for me. I've cut back on my drinking enormously but more importantly my relationship with alcohol is unrecognisable. After nearly 20 years my drinking routines have been broken, my head is clear, my thoughts are ordered and I'm concentrating on the things that really matter rather than limping to the end of each day to reach my ‘liquid fix’. I know there can be no room for complacency in this game but I feel that I'm on the right road now.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone here both past and present for the ongoing support that has played such a major part in my switch in priorities – my world is a much better place these days and you’ve all helped me on my way to discovering it.

Morning to you all,
Sorry its been a while since I posted, I have no excuses had to get my head around the fact that I have been drinking everynight.
Went out last night sat drinking with friends and suddenly though I'm not enjoying this i'm drinking again and i'm not enjoying it.
So another LightBlub moment and i'm back on the wagon. I have more than enough days left to fullfill my December Target.
Hope you all have a good day

Eaten and drunk far too much this weekend at various xmas 'do's', but I had a great time so I'm not too bothered (apart from that I may have put on a few lbs!!)
So no more AFDs to report, but could you put me down for 3 for the SNC this week please Bearacus. Will aim for 4 but may have a drink on Tues, not sure yet.LBM Dec 10. Total unsecured debt £41176  Nov 12 Debt Free Thanks Mum x RIP x

If In Search of Me hadn't started this thread I'd probably still be drinking too much and not in a good place.
It was such a help to me while I was coming round to the idea that I had a problem, and great support when I stopped.
Massive thanks from me0
