Hello there - sorry I've been a bit of a stranger here, but I have been quite good with the alcohol on the whole. I'm aiming not to drink from now 'till we go on the christmas break - I don't have a lot of parties coming up so it shouldn't be too bad!

Hahaha, never thought about the working in a supermarket salivating problem before. I can see how it would be for me too though!

Whlst I'm trying to be AF, I'm trying to be quite healthy too. But today I had a BLT sandwich for lunch, followed by a milky way Dinner tonight was a dolmio stir in sauce with a mountain of pasta Wholemeal pasta though, so a bit healthier!

2 for the SNC please Bearacus.

I'm freezing tonight, despite the heating being on quite high. So I'm off to bed with electric blanket, hot milk and my book.

Hello, first post in this thread for me. I don't drink loads but I do drink every night and I'm a bit concerned for various health reasons.

Am I right in thinking that we post a number of alcohol free days for the week / month? And what is SNC?

Had friend round for dinner tonight, decided not to have a drink, so to save opening a bottle of wine and me being tempted, i bought her a wee bottle to have with dinner. Feeling quite pleased with myself :A

Welcome Jevvers, they're a lovely bunch in here.

AF tonight but it was a tough one. DH had already been to the pub when I came home from work, and that's the thing that really gets me, when he's had a drink and I haven't. Jealousy maybe? Anyway, got in, cooked dinner then headed out to bingo. I said to myself that I could have a drink if I won. Well, I didn't win, but still dithered around the bar at the end. But I decided not to ruin my SNC this week so I came home to a nice supper of hm soup, having only drunk sprite. When I got back DH had polished off most of a bottle of wine Now having a lime & soda before bed. Hopefully the next 2 days won't be as bad, but I'm not planning on going out except to work, and his wine's nearly finished.

2AFDs for Dec and 2 SNC so far.

Hope everyone's not too cold and has had a nice evening xx
