OMG gardenanna 4pm on a school day! your OH is very rock and roll!!
I have 3 AFDs thanks Shaggy and Bearacus i only managed 3 on the SNC this week - Monday was my last night on the sauce before my (nearly) AF November!
I have been really cranky and tired all week....grumpy and listless. I put that down to alcohol withdrawel as this is exactly what happened in September when i went AF. Woke up this morning thought feeling FANTASTIC! I even did a cartwheel in the lounge room!0 -
after my flying post yesterday I'm pleased to say I feel better - just full of cold.
I also wanted to say to Idris, I know exactly where you're coming from - been there, done that, suffered the buttock clenching embarrasement.
Keep plugging away at cutting down, controlling, giving up - whatever your strategy is. I also empathise with the depression thing - it can be so hard to just get up and get on. Keep on going, you will triumph.Trying to keep in budget.

Not af last night as went for a curry and then the cinema and had a small glass of red and a small cobra with curry and a free shot of sambuca. Dh was given a free brandy but didn't drink it as he was driving and tried to get me to have it but I refused as didn't want to go to the cinema at 9pm on a Thursday p@@sed! Had a glass of wine when we got home afterwards but drank half and left it as I felt sick! Will drink moderately tonight and Saturday as do not want a hangover.HSBC Visa-High interest-£2349.23 Nat West £2605.18

That's a great plan becks, that's what we should all do (except for those who'll be completely AF).
Have a good weekend all.0 -
AF yesterday so 3 for the challenge and 4 for the SNC please Shaggy and Bearacus.
DSD2 and new man came over but she hardly drinks and he was driving so it was just Mr C and an open bottle of red; the rest of us drank coffee :T
Not AF today but then I didn't plan to be. The fact that since last Friday 4 days have been AF is amazing and something I couldn't have imagined just a couple of weeks ago; I love this thread0 -
4 AF please Shaggy x
Well done everyone on the SNC this week :j x
Hope everyone has a good weekend x

Jane I think my OH's alter ego must be Ozzie Osbourne and I channel a bit of Joan Jett myself from time to time! I don't know exactly when 'the sun is over the yard arm' but we certainly take a liberal view on itMy husband works from home much of the time and it's too easy for him to pour 'the first one' when things are bit stressful. I work from an office outside the home so (thankfully) I don't generally start until after about 6.00. I should say that since discovering this thread my SN drinking is much reduced :T

When I'm trying to persuade myself to have a drink against my better judgement:o I'm always swayed by the fact that the sun must be over the yard arm somewhere in the world.
Look at this

Me too Maman and Caramel, not sure this is a good combination when you're in a boat with all that wet stuff around either!
I can see how positive and upbeat the list has been, I've got quite a bit to catch up on, hope you're all doing well and good to see so many new faces.
Sorry for being MIA. No afds to report in September or October, my last one was August. Some stonking hangovers but no cringeworthy moments that I can remember. although I'd hate to watch cctv of me staggering home one night last week, must have covered twice the distance as it was triangles/zig zag time. Boy were my feet sore the next day, getting used to London pavements in smart shoes again is taking a while!
I have a new job back in London and have moved out of my rented room so I'm not away all week any more and I'm feeling positive about the last couple of months of 2011 being happier ones than the rest of this year was.
It's so nice to be back at home together with OH, I didn't realise how lonely and depressed I've been till I started to come out the other side. Now I 'just' need to start reducing my booze consumption.
Miss P, if you read this just want to say good luck and everything.
Shaggy, I don't feel strong enough yet for targets and watnot, I want to get a bit more sorted in myself first. Thanks.0
