It's not too late to set a target for November
Everyone Welcome!
ShaggyxWhat do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -
can i have 15AFD for November please. Ideally more but I dont want to set myself up for a fall.
Thanks for your words- I caved in and had half a bottle of (really horrible) white last night and found Id left half a glass this morning
However I know that was because hubby is away and I was bored and a bit stressed after sorting out all 4 kids on my own!
I think I am a bit depressed to be honest- I try to keep one step ahead of the black dog but occasionnally he catches up! I am sat here in my pyjamas and am going to switch off this bloody computer, have a shower, put my face on (I dont bother when Im a bit down- massive indicator of mental state- Im usually a vain so and so lol) and take my real dog for a brisk walk to keep a step ahead of the black dog.
I know hubby is having a boozy old time away at a conference so I know he'll be more than happy to have a drink free weekend when he gets home so my meeting should be safe! It worries me deep down that the thought of not being hungover on a sunday is SUCH a big challenge.............
I hope everyone is feeling okay today- thanks for your support- I LOVE this threadHave nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful.

Hi,
I managed 24 consecutive AF days in October and then fell off the wagon on a work dinner and have been drinking since then. I also got quite tanked last night as I completed a presentation so was celebrating - hangover now though. I would like to try and go for the rest of November without drinking now.
So Shaggydoo, please put my target as 28 AF days in November.0 -

Another sympathiser (or more accurately empathiser) here idris. There have been too many times when I've embarassed myself with my behaviour and put puking (or falling asleep at the table during a dinner party once:o) down to the fact that I was incredibly tired from work and so booze affected me more. It couldn't have been that I'd had too much of course! If I were you, I'd do whatever it takes to get you through Saturday night AF, go to bed, go to the cinema, anything. You'll feel so pleased with yourself on Sunday and if you must you could have a drink to look forward to after the meeting is over. I worry now that I may have turned up at early meetings smelling of booze. I wasn't aware of it myself but these days I can smell it on other people. Ugh! That's a sobering thought.

MrR has done that in the past. Just a shame it was at my works annual do. It was the first year we'd been to it and the first time he'd met any of them

I can laugh about it now but I was mortified at the time. That's why I do most of my heavy drinking at home0 -
