Thank you all for your encouragement. It means a lot to me.
4pm today the bells were ringing. 4pm seems to be my time lately and I've been known to crack open a bottle of wine several days a week at that time. Today I immediately decided to get busy. Gave Piglet a haircut (which he was most displeased about!!:rotfl:) and then gave him an early bath. Seemed to help but have still felt a bit grumpy and edgy since.
Roll on bedtime

Good for you Miss P for distracting yourself from the bells - kids demand so much attention and that can be so positive (keeps you busy, lots of distraction) or negative (never get a moments peace therefore need wine as my chill out /switch off from the constant interruptions). I hope the rest of your evening went well.
I was AF again last night - no one here was drinking and I managed to get the ironing done. So 3 days for the SNC and 12 for the month. please.
All the kids are now on half term together (they have different holidays this autumn as they are in different schools and only 3 days over lap). so we're going to the cinema this afternoon to see Jonny English. My middle one also really needs trousers so will pop into C and A too.Trying to keep in budget.

1st AF day for me yesterday in months. Drinking has been increasing recently to dangerous amounts. Need to keep on track! This thread helps so much!:beer:0

Just reading back through the posts, lots of strong AFness.:j:j:j
I never want to go back to where I was early in 2003,my Alcoholism crept up on me very slowly over many years,I just didnt realise, even when people were commenting on my drinking,I thought they were barmy.
So good to read your post Miss P,PM me if you like, are you back on FB?
I used to love seeing the pics of Piglet.
Nice day here, washing to put out,dog to walk and swimming.Went to see Josh Groban in concert last night, still on a high from it.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Sobriety delivers everything Alcohol promised.

I hope the rest of your evening went well MissP, but I can imagine piglet may be bald soon;)
Thanks for the warning about feeling anxious fpt abd pricey. I've noticed that can happen to me (worrying about stuff unnecessarily) and I hadn't associated it with booze. I'll watch out for it now.
I didn't post last night as I decided to go to bed with a book instead of coming on here last thing at night. I'm not sure I slept much better but I'm experimenting.
6AF for October and 2 for the SNC please.0 -
Started at the beginning of the month, and now, 12 days AF.
Don't think OH is taking it as seriously as me, but she hasn't said 'let's go down the pub', or 'shall I pop out for a bottle of wine to go with our food' yet, so that is all good. It is SO much nicer to be waking up without a fuzzy head, feeling anxious, and unable to do much.'We shall not cease from exploration, and the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time. '

Hi Everyone
Hope you all well. 10 AF please Shaggy and 4 for the SNC Bearacus Really couldnt be bothered going to Zumba this eve so having a lazy eve watching tv. Day off tmro so planning on going shopping. As much as i love having lost loads of weight this year im struggling to keep replacing my clothes, every season i need to buy some new clothes, its so expensive and takes up too much of my time. Ive even dropped a shoe size:eek:
Has anyone heard from Mrs Rainman recently, hope she and bean are doing okIt’s not what you have in your life but who you have in your life that counts0 -
Made it through the week nearly so 4 for the SNC please bearacus
It has helped me SO much to be part of this as instead of just helping myself to a drink I've remembered the SNC and made a concious (sp?) decision not to have one. Not having the first one is important for me because it is never just one! Not always easy (and tonight have longed for it to be Friday :rotfl:) but much better because of the SNC - thank you all and especially bearacus for keeping scores
Talking of scores I'm afraid I might have got muddled up Shaggy with previous total so including tonight it will be 9 AF please - many thanks to you too for keeping us up to date with our achievements, big or smallGetting there...slowly!
GC : must do better
NSD: very rare
No matter how slow I go I am lapping everyone on the couch.0
