Morning everyone.
Slipped off the wagon yesterday, again. *insert kick up the butt smiley*
But start afresh again today. Total of 17 AFDs.Hello
I;m very pleased with myself as I completed week 1 of the couch to 5k challenge today. It might not sound much but it's an achievement for me! I came home from work today just itching to open a bottle of wine, but I have to get up in the morning and take DS to play football and then drive him to his dad's so think the best thing for me is to leave the bottle in the fridge, cos I can't do just one glass and I don't want to guzzle the lot and risk being over the limit in the morning.
So, another AF night for me.
Have a nice start to the weekend all xx
If you remember my 1st post when i quoted you.0 -
Morning everyone,

Thank you, one4the road. I'm feeling a lot mire positive now.
Chloris have a look at https://www.c25k.com it's where I got my running programme from. There's also one on the runners world website.
I've got an AF weekend planned, fingers crossed for my willpower!Say what you mean.. mean what you say... without being mean.0 -
Hi all. Not AF this weekend, had a few too many last night and fell asleep on the sofa but once again wasn't too bad this morning. Maybe I didn't drink as much as I used to but felt like I had because my tolerance has dropped. Having a couple tonight but taking it easy. Well done you guys that stayed AF Friday night, I take my hat off to you.
My modem has died so I'm posting from my phone so may not be about much for a few days. Will try and pop in though
For anyone interested in the couch to 5k thing, there's a good iPhone app tor 59p that talks you through all the run/walk cycles. I did quite well with it until I sold my iPhone and they don'tt have an android app I don't think. I may check out the website instead and get back into it.0 -
Evening all,
Yes was really pleased this morning for not bring wine home.:)
Have bought wine home tonight but have left it in car have been invited to Lunch tomorrow so am taking it with me, I now need not to drink it there have offered to drive so thats sorted.
My Stepson has just arrived with a bottle of wine which he has opened and has a glass I have not yet had any.
Dont want to let my self down am so torn. Just keep thinking how good i will feel if I dont drink and how bad I will feel if I do.
Hope you all have a good evening

Hi - no more AF days to report, but I haven't been dronky dronky, just a drink or 2 each day. I am feeling low at the moment, hope to post something more positive later this week. My God, I am 31 in 2 weeks time. It's not age that bothers me, but I do feel like I am coasting along, not achieving anything. My Mum had me three weeks before her 31st birthday, and she was an older mum. Her first marriage failed as did mine (our faults too!) but by my age she had met my father and had me. They are still happy together and there are four of us kids, and I wonder if I will ever be so fortunate. I don't want four children but a relationship with someone special that lasts would be wonderful. My boyfriend is lovely but I question his intentions all the time.
My boyfriend has gone to see a friend tonight, I have nobody around, no friends who i can see. I struggle to make friends, alcohol helps me be sociable but my drinking and general depressive state (and autistic traits) mean that I find it hard to keep friends. It is easier to see no-one, but sometimes I feel lonely. I have had a G&T but now drinking coke in an attempt not to hit the downward spiral.
Wow that's depressing, hopefully I can come back tomorrow in a happier state of mind. Still this thread is here for venting isn't it? I'll catch up tomorrow and put something positive!0 -
