Good Morning,
I hope you are good on this Monday morning,
It was a tricky one this weekend, it was my partners birthday on Friday and I had a wedding on Saturday night, but I got through them without getting 'drunk' and it was a vast improvement on last weekend where I was blotto'd and sick.
This week, please put me down for the SNC 4 DAYS for this week please bearacus, and WELL DONE on your 50 days!!
Also Shaggy, I was AF last Sunday, so please could you update my AF for August to 5/10 so far
Have a nice week everyone.

Fell off the wagon again big style yesterday.
Ended up at someones house with no idea how i got there.
So ashamed of myself.0 -
one4theroad - the fact that you are on here and posting is a sign that you want to change, dont be so hard on yourself, if controlling drinking was so easy for everyone, there wouldn't be over 3000 posts on this thread.
Just pick yourself up, remember how wretched you feel now and use that as a spur to help you next time.0 -
Well I have an abcess in my gum which explains the extreme pain! Got some antibiotics for 5 days which I CANNOT drink on. That would be fine except I'm going to a 3 day beer festival on Friday night, I can't drink until 48hrs after I've finished the tablets which means Sunday night. I sound like a spoilt brat I know, but I've paid £60 for the ticket. I've had a pretty lousy summer and this is the only thing I've had to look forward to.
I'll just have to get over it I guess!0 -
I really worry about Uni fees pricey and we still have 4 years to go before our eldest goes. They just upped tge amount so quickly!
Wasn't AF yesterday and I'd like to join in the SNC please bearacus, as I am still getting terrible bells every evening!Trying to keep in budget.

Hi All - not the best weekend for me, drank on Friday & Saturday night which was planned but I only had a couple of glasses so that was good, but then I went on to have a drink yesterday and the bells are already ringing today
Bearacus - think I need to put myself down for the full Monty againthis week. Massive well done to you on 50 AFD's - that's brilliant!!

7 please, Shaggy
Thanks for asking - next year is A levels then she really, really wants to go to one of the very best universities (despite the horrendous and cruel tuition fees) - no pressure then!!!!!
I decided not to go to uni because of the thought of getting in to debt, and it was no where near as bad as now. And as it turns out, i'm still in debt anyway!!

One4theroad - Don't be too hard on yourself. Cutting down/giving up is never easy. But you have come on here and have said what happened at the weekend which shows you don't want to be like that anymore. The odd slip-up is allowed.
FPT - Sorry to hear about the abcess. MrR has had a few and they are horrid. And i think i'd be pretty gutted about the beer festival

MrsR xx
Good to see you posting MrsR, hopefully BabyR is asleep and giving you a well-earned break. I think the rise in fees is appalling. How anyone thinks it's the right message to give young people that you start your adult life with a load of debt amazes me! And then just when your salary creeps to a passable amount you have all that to pay back along with trying to save for a deposit and just live!! I think lots of institutions are finding that student commuters living at home are on the increase plus they'll have to look at the taught hours. There are so few it just doesn't warrant stretching courses over 3/4 years.
Shiny, new day today one4the road. Start afresh aiming for an AF day.
fpt, I suppose you have to weigh up whether you want to put up with the pain for a bit longer or miss out at the beer festival? Big decision.
Bearacus, would you put me down for 3 for the SNC please.0
