Maman, that is a fantastic weight loss, you must feel and look great. Well done. Are you going to get yourself in the magazine, would love to see that. I must get myself back into SW as soon as I get my kitchen back (we're renovating at the moment). I weighed myself on my MiLs imperial scales (i just havd metric) and was horrified at my 'stonage'.

I'll be AF tonight as there's a parent's evening at the school I am going to. The bells are rinhing though :-(.
    Trying to keep in budget.

    Hello
A belated happy birthday to May :bdaycake:
Yoemma I'm doing the couch to 5k running programme, it's a 9 week programme for fat lazy lumps like me who want to be able to run. You start off really, really slowly and after 9 weeks you should be able to run 5k. I'm just finishing the first week, so it's been reasonably easy so far but I'm sure it'll get harder as the weeks go on!

No booze planned for me tonight, I'm bracing myself for the weekend though and the temptations that will bring....

It’s not what you have in your life but who you have in your life that counts
  • DAY 7 for me today please and 2 on the SNC.

So pleased with myself, have had a week's worth of AF days and we're only 18 days into a month, it's been weeks and weeks without an AF day before that so I should be proud of myself.

Feeling irrationally low though. Oh well, Friday tomorrow.

I've been ever so good tonight and did NOT reward myself with a drink. Although I did feel like celebrating, that'll have to wait until tomorrow;) It's a lovely feeling, both feeling thin and that everyone has been so pleased for me.

Oh and I won't be appearing in the magazine gien, not my thing at all:rotfl:

That's 9AF for August and 4 for the SNC please.

It's amazing how it mounts up fpt, there's lots of month left to clock up the AF days. Well done:T

I am alcohol free tonight-hurrah! That makes it 9 afds for me please shaggy and 2 for the snc please bearacus. I nearly gave into the bells as DH said-shall I just nip out and get a bottle of wine and I waivered but then thought-no i don't want any. It's interesting that you say that August is normally a bad month-made me feel a bit better about being so rubbish! Well done maman-that's such an achievement and no easy feat as I've been struggling to get to my goal weight for 2 and a half years-note to self-more af days may be the answer! Hope you had a great day Mrs R-it is so daunting to go out with a newborn baby at first as you have to get used to carting so much stuff around with you! I used to keep my changing bag all stocked up ready to go so i could just pop my bottles in before i went so I didnt have to faff about too much before going out. Fakeplastictwee and yoemma-hope you feel a bit better tomorrow-i think this rain doesn't help-it's meant to be warm and sunny tomorrow so looking forward to that!

Evening All and welcome Lola :hello:

Thank you everyone for the birthday wishes...I'm still smiling that I had an AF one :)

Well done maman on the fantastic weight loss :T...I'll bet you're feeling and looking amazing!!!
Yoemma - you're doing really well to be tackling weight, booze and cigs at the same time. I've lost 1½ stone since cutting down on the 'pop', I've been watching what I'm eating but most of the loss is as a result of not drinking alcoholic calories and the fact that I no longer have the booze induced munchies (when I've had a drink I lose the will power to resist, crisps, peanuts, chocolate...anything really!!) Stick with it..you should see those pounds dropping off soon x

MrsR - hope today was a success and that you were able to dodge the rain

The bells have been ringing tonight but I won!!...so I'm now on 14 AFD's please shaggy and 4 for the SNC please bearacus

  • Happy belated birthday May, and congratulations to Maman, you've done soooo well! I hadn't realised how well you'd been sticking at SW - since October is brill.

Annie, I've started the same couch to 5k running programme and I'm on to week 3 the second time. I missed a week before my hols and my actual hols but instead of giving up decided to drop it down a level and stick at it.

I managed another AFD last night. Exactly the same type of gross wine was on offer as last Thursday so I managed to resist even a mouthful this time! Not the best buy two for however much OH ever did!

I wonder if all the rain and grim weather got to everyone yesterday? I was feeling really low too. I am almost 6 months into my new job and have been staying away from home during the week since June, as has OH since Jan. It is really getting to me this month, I seem to be packing to leave somewhere all the time and I miss my home and OH. Must get on with dusting down my CV and see what's out there again this weekend. No point feeling down about it and not doing anything to fix the problem.
