Failed again. :( Went to the pub after work for a friend's birthday, was only going to drink lemonade but thought "sod it, I'm not up early in the morning". Ended up drinking 3 pints and I'm feeling it this morning, my tolerance must have dropped.

Feeling quite disappointed in myself. :(

On the plus side the van is fixed now, and we've found somewhere to park it where it will be safe.

Bad luck FPT - never mind. Onwards and upwards...!

    Keep smiling! x

Thank you, not so much bad luck and my own fault :o Never mind, I'll be getting some good sleep over the next few days when I'm AF!

I wasn't af last night-came back from zumba and dh had bought a bottle of wine so had two glasses. Annoyed with myself as August is going really badly with the af days. Well done to all who are abstaining. I seem to have caved in the school hols and I'm away at the end of August so won't be alcohol free then either. I really miss shaggy too as I am very confused as to how many days I've been af for! Hope you are ok Mrs R as you are having a tough time at the moment. Hope you got to spend a few days at your mum's to have some respite from the situation. off to do a bootcamp workout at lunchtime to blast this wine waist away!

  • Hi All!!

Days just seem to disappear at the mo and when i do get to log on i have missed loads!!!

legsand - Welcome!! I can relate to the whole "not stopping at a glass or 2" MrR is exactly the same. He will keep drinking until there is nothing left to drink (which rarely happens as he always makes sure he has enough), or until he falls asleep. It's rare for him to have less than 15 units a night. But you have taken the step to stop/cut down. You will have bad days but the next morning is always a new beginning.

FPT - Don't beat yourself up about having a couple of bad days. Fresh start today :D

    Have a happy wednesday everyone

Hi Beckseven. Might it help if you keep your own tally in your sig and update it every day? Granted mine's bit OTT (just had to delete 2009 totals as I ran out of characters) but it makes it easy to know how many I'm on. Still like to see Shaggy's list and jumpys too tho'.

That's what I do but I often need to go back to my last post or my calendar to check what my last score was. Imagine what my memory must have been like when I was drinking every night!:rotfl:

Hello. In the end I was AF last night and will be tonight, so 2 for the SNC please.
Unfortunately had an anxiety packed sleepless night so have felt dreadful all day and got nothing done - just like a hangover!
    Trying to keep in budget.

    Evening :hello:

I had a fab time in Bath. It's a very posh city ;) The Roman Spa was amazing, we went on a couple of open top bus rides and ate lots but I was AF so notched up 2 AFDs.:D

My Afness means I'm back thinking about work - Boo!

    Off to update.

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

Don't forget to have a Sally Lunn! Jasper and I strongly recommend the orange and cinnamon variety with a good cup of coffee! :):):)

But, above all else, have FUN! xxx

I didn't have a Sally Lunn (but I did have a cream tea ) I seen the tea shop though :D
