Evening everyone.
Mrs R, sounds like you're having a harsh timeI thinkk it gets to the point where you need to put baby and yourself first and it sounds like you need some support. Maybe going to your mum's for a while will ease the strain and he might start to realise what you need from him. I hope he opens his eyes soon. :grouphug:
Well no AFDs to report hereBut I'd like to sign up to the SNC again this week if I could. In fact I'm tempted to try and get through until 26th when I go to a festival. I could do with not spending any more money, but will see how it goes.

Have a good week mackeroo. I don't really try to be AF on holidays, just keep within sensible limits so that I don't spoil the next day by feeling hungover or do anything I'd regret (assuming I remembered).
Thanks Maman

Welcome Newbies.
You are in the right place. Also, it really challenges the idea of the stereotypical alcoholic.

Blonde_Ambition wrote: »Hi all. Just finished a book called "Cleaning Up" by Tania Glyde (from library, very MSE) which is pretty good. It's about how she came off drugs and drink. It's ok. She gave up at the same age as I am now (36) so I could relate to it. Also, it really challenges the idea of the stereotypical alcoholic. My experiences are nowhere near as extreme as hers but some of the stories (embarassing yourself, starting arguments, being known as "oh, she likes a drink") made me cringe as I could think of similar stories.
BA - with you on that one! I'm 36 as well... You sound really smart, and there are lots of good tips to be found in (some) books. I'll look out for that one in my local library.

MrsR so sorry to hear that things aren't getting any easier with MrR I would agree with what others have said, a little time at your Mum's won't just give MrR the wake up call that he might be needing but you'll also get some of the much needed support that's a must when you have a new baby...take care xx
