Hello all. Thanks very much for the welcome and suggestions maman, RuthnJasper and Chloris! :T

So far so good, 1AF day, which since it was last night is 1 SNC.

I managed by the slight cheat of going to bed knackered at the same time I put the boy to bed, so temptation was replaced by sleep!


On the subject of how drinking affects your skin... the last time I radically cut back I was doing Weight Watchers. I found that by not drinking (and therefore eating less junk late at night) I lost - a lot of - weight pretty easily and looked completely different within a couple of months. Not just my weight but my skin, face, general health. It really does make a massive difference.

Thanks for this I have been trying to drop a bit of weight too. I'm not overweight, but the podgy belly gets me down and that's through drinking too much, so will remember this.

The thread has been moving so quickly the last couple of weeks!

Welcome to all the newbies.

Everyone is doing so well at the moment. I think there will be some really high AFD totals at the end of the month.

MissP - Good news that the car was repairable :T Things always happen at the worst time.

I'm really trying to log on once a day to try to keep up with everything. But it doesn't seem to be happening at the mo.

Just a quick one from me if anyone is near a telly at 11.30 This Morning ITv are interviewing the girl from the Dying for a Drink programme. 30 glasses of wine, vodka and cider every day :eek::eek::eek:

Wow, I only caught the end of the programme she was on, didn't realise she's only 35! They just mentioned the 3 million "alcohol dependent", I'm scares me that I'm probably one of those.

Loving the peppa piggiemobile picture-my dd is a major Peppa fan and would love me to drive a car like that! I'm starting to convince myself that that that IS your car Miss P! Glad that the car problems wasn't serious. 6 afd for me please. Probably wont' be af tonight though. Thinking of you bearacus and your mum. Sorry that the doctor's didn't go well ruthnjasper. I'd go to see someone else-there's a doctor at my surgery who I never go and see because he's renowned for giving poor advice and not listening properly so give someone else a try.
