  • Evening all

Had a real wobble & nearly fell off the wagon again. :o

I texted a friend & she managed to 'talk'me out of it.

Am i too late to set a target for August?

It's never too late, go for it, and welcome aboard! :) Make sure you post your target and updates in a brightly coloured bold so it's easier for the guys to update. :)

Must admit, it's only been one day, but I'm already starting to climb the walls... free-mad-smileys-120.gif

    Keep smiling...!

Hopefully you've now got a second AF day to notch up! It is really, really hard to start with. I distinctly remember pacing about because I couldn't settle to anything or think of anything other than having a drink. A good distraction to go out for a walk (sorry to hear about nose-bleed though). Distraction techiques are really helpful to get you out of the habit. I found going to a dance class on a Monday was an excellent start to the week. The 'special' soft drink is another or having a relaxing bath or changing into jimjams early so you can't cave in and go to the shop. Hopefully as you have no spare money that will help you a bit Ruth.

Well done to everyone who's been AF tonight. And that includes me!

4AF please Shaggy and 1 for this week's SNC thanks Bearacus.

Just popped back to say Happy Birthday to AnnieG for Tuesday. Have a good time in Devon!
  • Feeling bright and breezy this morning. :D

Slept quite well considering I was glued to the news all of yesterday evening, went to bed feeling very confused about what's going on. There's a deep undercurrent to all of this that shouldn't be ignored IMO.

    Happy birthday to AnnieG :dance::j

Morning, and thank you so much for the birthday wishes, I'll do my very best to enjoy myself!
FPT I was up until the wee hours watching the news too, there are just no words. I have several friends who are police officers as I used to work for the police, and the stories they are telling are just unbelievable.

Anyway, have a great day everyone!!!
Say what you mean.. mean what you say... without being mean.
  • :bdaycake: Have a lovely day AnnieG

5 AF for me please shaggy

keep strong Ruthnjasper :) you are doing well Hope jasper is feeling better this morning.

Off to lunch with my parents today. Its not exactly a binge drinking event but we do tend to have a couple of wines.

So sad to see what happened to our country last night I wonder how much of it was alcohol fuelled?

Morning everyone, I am back from holiday and have clocked up my first AFD this month so 1/13 for me please Shaggy and Bearacus, please can I join the school night challenge for the full monty this week. I've been loaned a computer so I'm still away from home but can waste time on the forums again!:D

Happy birthday AnnieG, Congrats on your new arrival MrsR and have a good day everyone. Feeling quite strange about the riots, bizarrely it's making me homesick which makes no sense at all, I should be glad to be safe out of London rather than in Camden but I'm missing my home this morning. And hello to YM and Fay, good to see you two popping back ere again.

Hugs for you MrsR. See if you can get some help in the day so you can get some relaxing time. Or just get out of the house for a walk, it will do you and the baby loads of good. Babies always sleep better after fresh air ;).

    Happy birthday Annie :j.
    Yoemma, congratulations :j.
    Thank you May ;).

Bearacus - I hope it is good news for your mum.

Well done everyone for starting the week so well. I had a drink whilst watching a film last night. Only bothered with half of it, threw the rest away. I think my attitude to alcohol has completely changed. We went for a meal yesterday and I only had water with it - that is different.
