Ruthnjasper - thank you for asking, I am ok. I meant to log in a bit earlier to enquire after you but you beat me to it!
Today's not been too bad - didn't make a workout as didn't sleep very well last night - had very vivid dreams!
I did work hard today even though I didn't get done what I had aimed to do as something more urgent came up but I did stay focused.
Was hard tonight not to have a glass of wine - there's a lovely bottle of red in the cupboard but am going to make a coffee in a moment to try to disuade myself!
1 tip which I was doing well with until a spectacular fall from the wagon - waitrose (not very mse I know) have a lovely cordial by 5 valleys called rose and pomegranate - v.tasty and I found (at least for a while) that did distract me from booze.
Emailed a friend today and told her about all that had happened and how bad I felt -she very sweetly told me not to be so harsh on myself and said I was single and entitled to have a good time. She said it's probably not the drink which puts guys off but the fact that they only see me in the pub when I'm having fun and don't realise (in her words) how lovely and what good company I am when out of the pub aswell. Am meeting her for lunch tomorrow - she made me feel tons better and have also decided to cut 'toxic' people out of my life. Did well at avoiding one of them at work today.
Bit gutted though as the guy I like who I pulled in a drunken stupor last week has not contacted me despite him being able to get into contact if he wanted to - he's really nice.
Keep going everyone and good luck with the rest of the evening and the rest of the week.
xx:)stay strong and concentrate on what she said to you, and the fact that you'll feel much more clear headed and focused at work tomorrow.

Night-night Bearacus!
Thanks to everyone who has said hello - Jasper-dog came back from walk with a huge nosebleed (long story, all there on his blog - our 'homepage'), so dealing with that put the khybosh any post-walk good vibes. Now he's settled and asleep, so cup of tea for me (and a little slice of desperation that at least the next three weeks are going to be like this.... argh!)
GoodTimeGirl - listen to your friend, she speaks truth. Bad luck about the nice guy - but maybe he's just busy, or plucking up courage, or struck by man 'flu. Too early to say that he's a DEFINITE non-starter. You sound LOTS like me - Guys always either think I'm easy (I'm not), a laddette, or just a laugh.
Bit of an ol' bummer, though, isn't it?!
Plus which, for me, Jasper-dog never likes the men I like and the ones he DOES allow through the door are not my type... At the moment, there is an "interested party" who is about 20 years older than me. Nice, but that's quite a gap... Hmmm... there we are - another good reason for me to have an alcohol-free brain at the moment. Hey-ho.
Keep smiling!

AF for me tonight please Shaggy.
Lemon and ginger tea for me tonight (not too sure about it though!).
Hope everyone is getting on ok xThis time I haven't smoked since 6th Jan 2014 and still going ok.
Fingers crossed x0 -
sorry to hear about jasper - hope he is all snug now and having a little snooze.
Yes, I know what you mean - I have a cat and he hates guys being here as he's got very used to it just being him and I!
Def keep a clear head to be able to see if the new interest is what you want...
I think it is a no as I got his digits from someone on sat and texted him and he texted back but in a very manner of fact way. He's also my friend on FB and was online before (could see him on 'chat') but nada!
My nice friend has told me to come out friday as she is out and he goes to the same pub as us - NOT a help with the drinking! But I have a group 'dinner date' thing until at least 10/10.30 so can't go until later (which in a way is better because if I do go it's likely I'll be more sober having drunk more slowly with dinner than going straight out from work at 5.30!).
Just have to calm down and try not to get hammered in case I do see him friday! (or be too desperate!!):eek:0 -
Shaggy - thank you for taking the time to keep the daily totals updated - even though your on your holidays...now that's what I call dedication!! Hope your having a great break from work
Yoemma - congratulations on passing your exams :T
MrsR - I'm so sorry to hear that these early days with BabyR are proving to be far from ideal...I really feel for you, a new baby is tiring at the best of times but even more so when you're trying to deal with what you're facing, are you getting any help from your family or MrR's for that matter?? Your energy needs to be focused on BabyR and yourself right now...make sure that you get rest when you can and leave MrR to his own devices for a while....once you've established a routine you'll feel much more in control and able to tackle the situation - ((((((hugs)))))) - it sounds like you could do with some xxLBM Aug '07 Debt [STRIKE]£52,615[/STRIKE] DEBT FREE Aug '12 :jCap One CC £[STRIKE]5000[/STRIKE]/£0 - HSBC CC £[STRIKE]7500[/STRIKE]/£0 - HSBC Loan £[STRIKE]12,225[/STRIKE]/£0M&S CC £[STRIKE]11,500[/STRIKE]/£0 - Egg CC £[STRIKE]8750[/STRIKE]/£0 - Sains CC £[STRIKE]3000[/STRIKE]/£0HMRC £[STRIKE]3140[/STRIKE]/£0 - OD £[STRIKE]1500[/STRIKE]/£0Pay off ALL your debt by Xmas 2012 £14,128/£14,128 :j0 -
