8th of April and only 2 AF nights for me. I'm (a) annoyed with myself because if I had done what was on my School Report Card (written in Latin due to my age) "Must Try Harder" I probably would have 4.... however I'm (b) quite happy because the nights I've been drinking have been well contained. For instance, last night my lovely house guests cooked Pad Thai noodles which I enjoyed with a couple of glasses of chilled white. Where I would have been tempted to scoff the bottle in the past (they don't drink) I made myself a cuppa tea instead and continued having a sensible chat with them rather than most of my previous house guests getting the impression that most Scots seem a little "tired" by 9pm !!!

Have a great weekend everyone, weather looks great, even for Scotland !!

    Hi Shaggy

Reporting in a further AFD for me please - so 3 AFD so far for April.

Hi Will - have you got a PSP or Nintendo DS? Maybe playing games could occupy the time?

    Morning all and Happy Friday!

Had half a bottle of wine last night, very sluggish today as a result :o

Hello Will you've joined a lovely group. How about packing a soft drink and only taking the exact amount of money that you need for the day (leave your card at home)?

    Have a good day folks!

    Lala

Thanks for the advice. I think the weekend is a little bit of a failure. I'm hoping to use weekday non-drinking idea (that a few of my peers preach) as a catalyst.

Looking to save money towards moving out to a flat of our own (living in parents house at the mo) so need to push on. Driving home has helped the last 2 days, but I think I can push on and sort this! :T

No I haven't. I'm looking at the idea of saying "hey you spent at least £x on beer every week" and use that to purchase either a dongle for my laptop (which doesn't quite have the legs for the journey) or a tablet.....something to take my mind off it all!
