What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

Morning all, and what a beautiful morning it is too! Mrs R glad to hear you are resting and it seems to be quiet on the Mr R front.

Whilst having a quiet moment, I realised I am nearing my first 90 days of not drinking. Wondering what to do to celebrate? When I stopped smoking I wanted to reward my effort by doing a stand up comedy course, or a bungee jump, but did neither. I think my increased health was reward enough.
    I shall ponder some more.
    enjoy your sunny Sunday everyone.
    stay well
    DM

Well done on your 90 days, that's brilliant!! :j A bungee jump sounds exciting. Or maybe a parachute jump! My cousin bought her daughter a parachute jump for her birthday. Didn't tell her about it until the day so she wouldn't get nervous, and she absolutely loved it!

I'd like to say it's quiet on the MrR front, but it's more just resuming the status quo. I understand that he's struggling, and, due to various things, the funeral isn't until tomorrow (which will be 3 weeks to the day). But 3 bottles a night is quite draining for me, especially as I've still been working full time, commuting 3 hours a day, and keeping the house running. His sister is amazed that i'm coping, but I just do it because I have to.

Fingers crossed it should all be different after tomorrow, although I'm not so sure. There always seems to be an excuse. Wednesday is the internment of the ashes so he'll want a drink then. Thursday and Friday he's booked as holiday so that'll be a reason to have a drink. And then it'll be the weeknd and he "has to have a drink at the weekend"!!

Sorry, that turned in to a bit of a rant and I didn't mean it to :D. Oh well, at least I'm off work now.

Have a happy monday everyone, and try to enjoy the sunshine while it lasts!

I'm in for the SNC please Bearacus, 4 for me please.

I have only one extra day to add over the weekend - Saturday night I was AF, which was good as I'd woken up with a dreadful hangover in the morning - I hadn't actually drunk that much on Friday night but felt awful all the same. I think my tolerance is dropping.

Am seriously considering going teetotal, as I suddenly realised that that is more the person I want to be now, not a drinker. My image of myself is slowly moving towards what I used to think was boring (you know, sensible, routine, regular, dependable). Feels better to me now to look after myself, IYSWIM
