1 more SNC AFD please Bearacus.
ShaggyxWhat do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -

Hi guys!
Hope you're all ok! As you can see from my signature I'm still very much AF. It gets much easier, most people have accepted that I don't drink anymore.....however, I've noticed a drop in social invites (have to say I'm not missing them though and DH doesn't seem to mind), I enjoy Saturday nights in PJ's watching rubbish tele and just chillaxing. On the occasions when we have been out I've felt good about not drinking, I can't believe how much I used to drink and when I see how it affects others (slurring, numb looking faces, over emotional) I feel much happier out of it. Driving home saves money and getting up the following day feeling bright and breezy is something I wouldn't trade!
I have bags more energy, my outlook is sunnier and I seem to handle stressful situations better (no more "any" occasion excuses - eg good day/bad day/survived Monday/Almost weekend Wednesday/favourite tv show night etc/kids have the day off school...you name it, I could use it) ! Was talking to DH about it a couple of weeks ago and he said about how I was drinking too much but he didn't feel that he could say anything because it was up to me. DH can take or leave alcohol, that just isn't me, I used to feel very hard done to about this but now accept it and am happy just not to drink.
I hope you're all ok, I wouldn't have coped with the start of this journey if it hadnt been for you guys!
Take care everyone and thank you!
