1 whole week of not drinking completed, making 4AFDs for April. DH picked me up from work yesterday, and we went straight to the local social club  for a few games of pool with DS. But I was a good girl, and only had lime & soda. Didn't actually fancy a drink so that was good. off out again tonight to bingo, where I'd normally have a few. I may put a vodka in the lime & soda tonight, I may not. Depends how I feel later, but I'm not going to beat myself up about it if I do, cos I'm not going to go mad. I'm determined to shift this extra weight, and not drinking lager is definately a positive start to this.

Well done rachel, it's a big achievement going into a pub environment and not drinking (and think of all the syns you're not using;)).
  • Hi everyone

You may remember my first post where doctor had concerns regarding my Liver, well I have had the LFT Test this morning and its all clear, so I am so relieved and happy, as I have been quite worried about it. The doctor said it could be due to me being anti-bilotics that gave the abnormal blood test readings.

I will be sticking to my 16 AFD for April.

I really want to loose weight as well, for those of you on SW do you go to the classes every week, I have not registered but have been trying to follow it, but am bit confused with what HEB means and quantities for syns.

I bought fat free yogurts, quorn mince, strawberries the primula cheese and chive. Also what do you usually use Quark in as I bought that at the weekend.

    Thanks folked

A very relieved Rossie I am

Great news about your LFT Rossie, you must be so relieved.

There's a thread about SW over on the Health, Beauty & Fashion board where they'll answer all your questions. Briefly, if you want to save money/time the advice would be to go to a class once and you'll get the talk and the books then you'll have all the info you need to get you going.

I'm a convert but it's worth repeating that I could never have made changes to my eating without first cutting down all the empty calories in the booze!

    Hi everybody,

Well done to Rossie and Rachael on your achievments, keep up the good work.
I ordered some alcohol free red and white wine form the alcohol free shop. I was very dubious on how it was going to taste. I honestly thought it would taste naff but I am shocked at how good and real the cabernet savignon tastes. I`m yet to taste the white wine as I`ve stuck it in the fridge to cool but I`m well impressed with the red.
4 AF DAYS FOR ME PLEASE SHAGGY.

Do share the details Trasi, have you a link/supplier? I'd like to give it a try for days when I don't want the calories. It might help me cut down even further which I'd like to.
