Hope whatever DH cooks is SW friendly;) I'm doing the slow roasted pork today (bone out) for the first time since starting SW. I'm not going to eat any crackling (that will take more will power than avoiding alcohol) but I'm sure the gravy will be more synful than my usual sort but I was fed up with chicken and the pork is such good value for money.

Lovely smilies Shaggy, thank you. Hava good day all, cutting down alcohol and calories.

Well dinner wasn't too bad!:D Boiled bacon with roast potato's and mixed veg. OH did a very good job!:)

Yes, it was SW friendly Maman:A. Lost pound and a half this week. Having a bit of an off weekend but hoping to get back on track tomorrow.

Been a bit of a wierd week. Had flare up of RSI in wrist combined with dermatitis on my hands (teach me to wear cheap jewellery!) so was hand immobile for large proportion of week. Been off work, which is a nightmare as they don't pay sick pay. Oh well, cross that bridge as and when!

Miss Piggy, do you work on a computer?

Yes, work 4 hours a day on one. The RSI is very infrequent (once every couple of years probably) but when it does flare up it takes a few days to go.

I'd like to add my congratulations to Phoenix-dragon too. Discovering I was pregnant was the thing that stopped me smoking and thankfully didn't go back to it after he was born .... However, if I'd found this group, and given up drinking at the time, he'd probably not have been conceived ;) so it must have been fate or I wouldn't have my Mother's Day card!

My first AF night in April thanks.

Congratulations phoenix-dragon-fantastic new and I am loving the pregnancy smilies Shaggy-Doo-they are so cute! Get well soon Miss P and well done rachelww1 on being af since Sunday. I know when I had an 'episode' when i got really drunk when my brother came round and was just a nightmare-talking over everyone and I fell over as well and I felt ashamed for days but not drinking made me feel so much better about myself. Friday i drove to my uncle's birthday party but had half a glass of champagne so wasn't technically af but I felt so good on Saturday. I was so productive and cleaned the house, ran around with the kids in the park and felt acheived. Last night we went to a charity dinner/dance with friend and I drank just over a bottle of white-and although I didn't get really drunk-I think i danced most of it off and had a great night I haven't felt great today and am really tired because of a disturbed night sleep. I can declare 1 afd today though and feel motivated to keep it up.

I truly believe that clocking up lots of AF days is good and healthy BUT (unless you want to give up completely) being able to have a social drink without being silly shows you've got things under control. You'll have cracked it when you're in control of the drinking and not the other way round;) Still work in progress for me, but I'm getting there...

I haven't posted for a couple of days, so have played catch up. Congrats Phoenix, when is the baby due?
Hope your rsi calms down Miss Piggy, did the oinkment work?
Not had any af days yet, but heres hoping today will be one. I spent a lovely weekend with a friend thrashing out a long overdue assignment aided by a couple of bottles of wine. I laid to waste the best part of a bottle to myself last night, I woke at 3 dehydrated and now have to get up for work! eugh. I think it was mainly to do with anxiety as I have a hospital appointment to get the results of some tests. Fingers crossed that all will be well.
    Have a great day all

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.
