chin up Mackeroo, this feeling of weakness/s*d it/ can't be bothered, will pass and you'll get your old determination back. We all have crash and burn moments and I think that it happens that the time between them gets steadily longer and longer until we can remain AF and eating healthily on a permanent basis - so many people on here are shining examples of that.

I'm off to bed now, early but I have a terrible back ache, so I am declaring 2AF for the SNC and a total of 10 for june please shaggy

Positive vibes for you Mackeroo. I feel like that at the moment. Keep getting bells all the time. I am resisting them whilst making the concession that I will eat whatever I want (there is no chocolate cake covering left in the house, the depths I will sink to). If not too nosey, is Aunt Flo visiting anytime soon?

I am on 14 AFD now, please.

Mackeroo - I really feel for you, it is so so hard when motivation goes AWOL :o I deal with these slip-ups by running away and hiding so I take my hat off to you for staying put and sharing. Lots of positive vibes from me too….tomorrow’s another day ((((hugs))))

8 AFD’s please Shaggy and 2 for the SNC please

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

    Hi everyone
Hope you all well. Some may have noticed that ive removed myself from this weeks SNC challenge, for some reason im giving in too easy to the bells, in fact thats not even true, i dont even wait for them to ring, im opening the wine as soon as i get in! Feel pretty crappy about it so dont want a visual reminder of me failing this week so as the 'stand in for bearacus' for SNC i took the executive decision to remove myself from this weeks challenge. Hope you all dont mind.
Will take it a day at a time. Ive also gone off the rails re WW, the 2 always go hand in hand. Feel my motivation is ebbing away on a daily basis and the temptation to eat crap and drink wine is winning at the mo.
It entered my head (hangs head in shame) today to come on here and lie, and continue to notch up the AF days but if i aint truthful with my VL friends what hope have i got.
Phew, all a bit heavy for a Tues night but feel better for sharing.

Let's call it scorers malady :D It's been quiet on this thread so I don't think you are alone.... binoculars.gif

Chin up - today is a new day. :)

morning campers, 15 afd please Shaggy. Received a copy of Living Sober, so quietly ploughing my way through that at the moment. I have 2 social events over the next 2 days where friends will be drinking (lots probably). I dont struggle to say no to a drink and not offer an explanation as to why I am not drinking. I simply state "I dont drink", my business mentor suggested on several occassions that I "just have a little one", I realise now that was more about her desire for company with her own drinking that she has a bit of an issue with. I left the session soon after. My craving for sweet things seems to have reared its head again.
have a great day, good luck with your challenges.

The craving for sweet things is usual when you give up alcohol, its the body trying to replace the sugars that its missing from all the alcohol.

Well done on your achievement to stay AF, its weird how how you look at things in a whole new light when you are not drinking. The people that push us into giving in are usually the ones who have a problem themselves.

Well, caved in to the cravings big time last night. I haven't done that for a long, long time on a school night. Just shows, constant vigilance and never give in. Oh well, today is another (hungover) day. Very reassuring to me that others are struggling at the moment too - we can all help each other. If I'm going to meet my target, it means I can't drink on Saturday night, which is my usual 'wine o'clock' night. Well, the way I feel at the moment, that will be easy, but that's a few days away...

    Morning All!

Apologies for being AWOL but things have been kinda manic in RL with everything that's going on.

Big Hello and welcome to Krackin Toast & Flat Eric

Mackeroo - Big Hugs to you :grouphug: We are all here to help you get back on track.

Well done to everyone on the AF'ness. You've all been doing so well :D (just far to many to mention)

It's fair to say MrR has crashed and burned. He's promised me that he'll get back on track once the funeral is done so I'm cutting him a bit of slack. He even said last night that his Dad is probably looking down on him, shaking his head in disbelief that he is still drinking. But at least that means MrR is aware that he is drinking far too much.

Only 8 more office days left for me:j

    Have a happy wednesday everyone!!
