 Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend.
I've managed an AF Saturday night but it has been very difficult. Bells have been clanging away (and still are if I'm honest) but there's no way Im listening to them now! To be truthful, I did it because I wanted to save calories for a day out during the week. Perhaps not the most noble of reasons and I think it was tough because it should have been one of my drinking nights. But the good news is.....
10AF for May please Shaggy!0 -
Morning campers, I am now up to 22 days af and last night was the first night that I was really conscious of no alcohol on a saturday night. I spent the day doing chores. Previously a big chore day would be interspersed with lots of drinking. I would steadily get through a bottle of wine or half a bottle of vodka. I now realise that most of my chores were never completed, hence the reason why the house looks such a tip.
I am away next weekend and then my short term lodgers move in, so the house really does need a bottoming. DS2 stayed in his room for most of yesterday allegedly doing coursework, didn't want to go out at all. Didn't really spend much time with each other which made me a little sad. Someone mentioned alcohol being a taker, the biggest thing that it has taken from me is my ability to have relationships with anyone. I shall work on regaining that.
Off for a swim before tackling the garden.
Have a great day y'all

Brill AF weekend coming in at AFD 20 so far
Work have arranged a team building session which is drinking shots and starting in the afternoon. Don't think so and I'm crossing my name off the list tomorrow. I don't need to build my relationships there and I'm not spending all day sunday with a massive hangover!
Have a good day everyone - I'll be revising mostly or at least thinking about it for a massive exam this weekfinal unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
Morning :hello:
I wasn't AF yesterday. I had 2 glasses of wine sitting in the sun in my garden.

Hi Shaggydo. I'm in the same position. I just lost my job because of drinking. Thankfully, I'm apparently a not half bad accountant so my ex-boss will give me a good reference. I resigned - rather than face a disciplinary process.
I can give up with no withdrawal - go without for months - then I relapse. Why? There is a monster within me. Outside of alcohol, I'm such a nice, decent and trustworthy person. Drink turns me into Medusa the Gorgon. I become a really nasty person who even I don't recognise.Hi Halt - Welcome to the MSE wagon
Sorry to hear about your job
Feel free to join any of our challenges. Bearacus runs ones during the week called SNC - school night challenge. I run monthly ones - if you want to join May there are 10 days left up for graps maximum. Or you could go "Target Free" if you want.

Hello all
Have been having a tough time in RL, hence not been on here or been paticularly good at being AF.
Shaggy, I think I have had 4 AF days this month, so no way I will reach my original targetI really need to get a grip.
Hope everyone else is ok and doing well with being AF or cutting down.
