Hi all, feeling a tad flat since yesterday, I had a session with my business mentor which was positive on the whole, but highlighted that I still have a bit more business research to carry out. Conflicting priorities abound as ever! A bit of a delay with an item from ebay is causing a bit of consternation. I guess I am just learning the art of patience.
I have got a 2 hour work out with the personal trainer later this morning which will get the endorphins going and then a trawl around a few antique shops with ds2. Hoping for a peaceful drama free weekend.
    enjoy your day y'all

Hi Shaggydo. I'm in the same position. I just lost my job because of drinking. Thankfully, I'm apparently a not half bad accountant so my ex-boss will give me a good reference. I resigned - rather than face a disciplinary process.

I can give up with no withdrawal - go without for months - then I relapse. Why? There is a monster within me. Outside of alcohol, I'm such a nice, decent and trustworthy person. Drink turns me into Medusa the Gorgon. I become a really nasty person who even I don't recognise.

14afds please shaggy and 4 for the Snc please bearacus. I'm finding it really easy to be af during the week but unfortunately not at the weekend. dh got back from a week away last night and we managed to put away a bottle and a half of white wine each--that is not sensible drinking is it? Weirdly i feel ok today but with a bit of a funny head. Tonight I will be driving so no hangover tomorrow. Well done on your interview lala-that's brillant news. Well done to all who are af this weekend-I wish I had been last night.

    Hi Halt,

Sorry to hear ou lost you job due to drinking, alcohol is a great taker, can take lots from us and gives us nothing in return. Have you tried AA? Do your relapses get worse and worse. That was mt experience when I thought it had gor really bad, I relapsed and things gor even worse!! I have been sober for over a year now with the support of AA and my life is really unbeilavable and I do not crave drinking atall

Hope you find support from this thread!

Hello everyone, AF here again today, had a lovely picnic and games with DH's family, lots of wine flowing but not into me! So, 21 please Shaggy. I've decided to try to keep AF at least until next Friday, but am going away for half term so not likely to have the willpower then!

Good luck with the interview Lala.

    Have a great Sunday all
