Thank you for your kind words Mrs R & Chloris. I can't concern myself with my families perception of me as that is all it is, their perception. Hospital appointment went well, not got to go back for 4 months, which is a relief. Medication needed a little tweak and 1 anti allergy injection and hey presto.
Just had a harrowing conversation with my ex, he is being his usual dim self, but I can't change that and am working on a damage limitation strategy.
Conscious that I have been feeling a little emotional at the moment, so have picked up a meditation book for the first time in years.
sleep well everyone

Had to really push myself to go out tonight, feeling stressed for no reason, it would have been so easy to just take the easy option. But I didn't and enjoyed my dance class and, more importantly, clocked up another AF night.
Well done everyone who's managed an AF Monday:T, every one counts.
That's 7AF for May please Shaggy and 1 for the SNC please Bearacus.0 -

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -

Good morning campers, I hope everyone is rested, slept well and is welcoming the new day?
Another afd for me yesterday, I am now aiming for the 365 day challenge. I think I sometimes forget to keep score as the thought of drinking or buying alcohol is becoming a distant memory. I also know from other postings that complacency can creep in and lead to the slippery slope. I also know that a blip does not a catastrophe make. In my current emotional state previously I would be drinking loads, smoking, spending and causing arguments with all and sundry. Well I no longer drink or smoke, I can feel my spending increasing and instead of rowing with the family, I have written 2 complaint letters on behalf of others. At times it seems like a pitiful attempt at gaining power back in my life, which always made me question why I felt powerless. Alcohol sure does funny things to the mind.
I could do with an effective strategy to curb my spending, I may go back to the spending diary and cash only technique that I used to use. ebay is my best friend at the moment, so may have to suspend my account.
On a more positive note, I have lodgers coming in 2 weeks for 3 weeks and another person wanting to come in 4 weeks. It's funny how things turn around when you are least expecting them. I love the thought of tax free income. Having a stranger in the house will make me more likely to give it a flick round with a mucky rag more often - housework was never my forte.
Not going into the office today, I was only due in for half a day, booked myself on a singing course this afternoon, as it's adult learners week. I haven't sung for years, apart from in front of the bathroom mirror or in the car. Great stress relief.
DS2 is currently feeling a bit more positive about his GCSE exams, I gave him a special pen that has all of the answers to every exam question in it. He came home last night and said the paper was a breeze.
Have a great day, best of luck with your challenges.
