I used to be really creative when I had had a drink, and thought that this would never materialise if I stopped drinking. Glad to say, it is on its way back...

That's good news, what sort of creative? Do you mean in your work or with hobbies (please excuse nosiness:o)?

But then TV programmes aren't real life. You don't see someone on eastenders starting drinking at 5pm and falling asleep in the armchair by 8pm with a half eaten plate of toast in front of them! (which is generally what I do!)

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Oh, that is so true. It would make amazing telly if they did tho'!

I've been out for a great lunch with friends today (certainly not one fat club would approve of). BUT I refused wine with the excuse that I would fall asleep mid-afternoon if I had any, not that it ever stopped me before.;)

That's 5AF for May please Shaggy and 3 for the SNC Bearacus.

I worked with a guy who kept a 7up bottle filled with vodka in his desk, stashed vodka bottles behind the skip outside and used to top up when he went for a cigarette and drank special brew behind tesco at lunch time. He used to be a manager, was demoted to our department when he lost his license for drink driving, his marriage broke up, then he came in after lunch one day absolutely off his face staggering round etc so he was dismissed (he had had numerous chances before.) Poor guy I hope he has managed to turn his life around now.

I used to work with 2 managers like that. I had never seen alcohol stashed in a desk in a government building - how naive was I?
One of the managers used to ride a bike and regularly fell into the canal on his way home from work - via the pub. We laughed at the time, but it seems a bit pitiful now.

I also used to work with a manager who never used to make it home from the pub after a few drinks after work. He would turn up for work the next day having bought some fresh clothes from tesco and carry on as though nothing had happened.

Morning all, another AFD yesterday, feeling better every day.
Have decided to start swimming again, in an attempt to increase energy levels. I used to swim 3 times a week, but when the hangovers were bad I could barely move in the water. (did I really used to drive hungover? Shame!) It all then started to feel like a bit of a waste of time, so I stopped swimming and carried on drinking! I am hoping to get back to Zumba this evening, but there is the small matter of my assignment to tackle prior to my tutorial tomorrow. study bag packed ready for a trip to the library. Friend has agreed to meet for lunch which will make the day a bit more bearable.
Have a great day everyone, keep on with your challenges, the rewards will be plentiful.
