Evening all. Shaggy I'm now on 10 please, and 2 for the SNC Bearacus. Happy day as finally had confirmation that a place has come available at my first choice school - managed to avoid celebratory drink though!

    9AFD for me please, shaggy.

In the past month I reckon I've cut my alcohol consumption by over 90% (from typically 300 units per month down to less than 30 units per month...)

Wow, what an achievement...I take my hat off to you, that's amazing!!!

I've just worked out that my alcohol consumption has been at least 325 units a month for years....frightening when I think about the damage I will have done to my body in that time:eek:

My first goal is to have more AFD's than drinking days in a month...and then to maintain it :o. Based on your post I think I also need to consider how many units I'm drinking...so focusing!!

Massive well done to you :T - great post, thank you!!

Does anyone find when you try to avoid the stuff all your favourite telly is sponsored by various drinks you like and all the characters are having such a good time boozing?

:rotfl:Definitely! When I started cutting down, the staff from Holby City always seemed to end up in the bar. It was excruciating. They don't seem to go there so much now, perhaps they know something.;)

That's brilliant:T I bet you feel fantastic and incredibly smug. Enjoy it.

I heard a few bells tinkling earlier but I think I was just feeling a bit tired and sorry for myself, it would have been so easy to flop on the sofa with a glass of wine. But I didn't. Well I did flop but with a big mug of tea instead.:)

That's 2 for the SNC Bearcacus and 4AF for May please Shaggy.
  • Watching. Me with coffee. Watching. I have a friend who means world to me on drugs and alcohol and need to connect to others who are overcoming this as healthily and happily as possible, despite the endless swearwords the swearword Government, Big Business and other swearwords throw at us. Go for it mates.xx

  • Sweeties the Advertisers want to bring you down and use behavioural target metrics to catch u out. They don't give a flying swearword of four letters what happens to you. Resist, if it's on screen it's not in you. WELL DONE!!!

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.
