You can film/photograph anywhere on public ground that you like. It is the end use of the images/film which could cause conflicts. There are exceptions in Northern Ireland to this on terrorism grounds.

How do you know the cameras are even live? Many people put up fake cameras to scare off burglars and the like.

If your not happy about the camera being there.. just stop going there?

Surely there's more than one park?!
:exclamatiTo the internet.. I need to complain about something!

Lets face it...if you were a perv, you'd do a better job than sticking the lens out the window!!!!!!!!!!!

I see no point in continuing this here Zoe, perhaps if some parents were to read then some more sensible, sympathetic views would be heard.

I'm a parent, not that I think that makes my opinion any more or less relevant, and I think the OP's concern is an over-the-top reaction. Even if the householder is taking photos what damage is caused to any of the children?
loose does not rhyme with choose but lose does and is the word you meant to write.

'his door is on the front of his house park is on back so that is not the case, and as i said not accusing anyone of anything. if his property has been damaged then wouldnt it make more sense to actually have it on his property? if vandals wanted to cause damage/break in the would jus have to jump the wall and got throught the side windows and doors where there is no cctv'

Front door is at the front. My impression is that the camera is at the back only, filming nowhere near the door or windows where access could be got.

I'm not sure if there is a second camera or if the same camera films both areas.

    Clarification is needed imo.
thinking about this more surely the other camera has to be at the front of the house. The OP says the house backs onto the park/playing field right?

Well unless the park is the worlds worst design and has a main road running through it, it HAS to be on the front of the house (or at the very least one of the sides) and it has to be pointing in a different direction to the first camera.

This reminds me of the story of when some parents found out there was a paediatrician* staying in a house and it got trashed. They wrote "!!!!!" on the house in paint.

*OP this is a fancy word for a doctor that specialises in looking after children. You really do come across as being ignorant.

I'm pleased that the vast majority of people responding here are level headed, sensible people, and very few are jumping to conclusions in the way the OP and her friend seem to be doing. Paranoia about people who take photographs is a horrible thing.

For the record I have a son, and would feel ashamed if I became so paranoid and over protective s to become ignorant and irrational.

I do put his photos on facebook, and I do control who can see them BUT I am not worried about mistakenly getting the settings wrong. If someone I don't know sees them as they are just normal photos of him out and about. What harm can come him from people just seeing him?

Paranoia is not the same thing as caution as exercising it does not help keep anyone safe.

Its people like the OP and her sidekick that are ruining this country(everyones a kiddy fiddler attitude)

I am single, have no kids, but nieces and nephews,I like kids they are amusing little people,BUT, I now cannot bring myself to talk to any non family kids simply because of this attitude shown,

I was in sainsburys the other day when a little girl had got herself lost from M&D and was crying her little heart out,my gut instinct was to take her hand chat to her and walk her to customer services, did I, NO ,why cos I was aware of peoples thoughts like the OP, so had to leave her where she was and find an assistant

You would think wouldn't you. From personal experience I can tell you not all pervs are intelligent enough to think about things like this.
