Thanks guys,
I think you have hit the nail on the head culex, his sour face would put anyone off!
DF & Shopaholic I'm hoping this is only a temporary setback, given my credit score at the min & the fact I'm only paying £1 per month token payments there's not a chance anyone would give me an unsecured loan to clear off any deficit.
I just really need to know if he can force me to sell for so much less than the valuation?
He's on about chopping 40k off the price, that's alright for him to say as he didn't put a penny down on the house when we bought it initially & knows he'll get nothing from the sale anyway!x0 -
If he has little or no equity in the property and is living there for next to nothing, how might it benefit the oaf for the house to be sold?
It seems to me that it would be to his benefit for the house he infests to remain unsold, even if it were to be offered in exchange for John Players' cigarette coupons or 5½ books of Green Shield stamps.0 -
Precisely! He's so stupid! He only pays 300 permonth to live there! He would t even get a bedsit round here for that! I think the real issue is that his girlfriend (aka the woman he had an affair with while we were married!) has a problem with him still living in our marital home, not that she had a problem shagging him there while he was still married! He's apparantly moved her in according to the neighbours although he still denies she exists to me!!!x0

Short of calling in the exterminators to remove the double infestation, why not try charging her rent?
Could you (or someone acting for you) sneak in one day when he and his current receptacle are out and change the locks?0 -
Have you sought legal advice on this matter.
Also I would have a word with the estate agents yourself. I was supposed to view a house a few years ago, the man was still living there, his wife had left him. He was supposed to sell the house, but I made an appointment to view and he just wasn't there, I did not make a second appointment. So your ex could be making the sale difficult by not co-operating with the estate agents, you will only find out if this is the case by speaking to them yourself.
Also does the house look presentable, if he has neglected it and turned it into a slum it won't get viewers, does he keep the garden and outside looking nice, these are what gets people to have a viewing as well as a good price. Talk to the agents.
Tell him if you hear that he has moved that woman in again you will insist she pays you rent as its your house too.
Good luck and hope you feel better soon.0 -
Thanks guys apparantly she has her own place too so it'd be very difficult to prove both the lice are living there!
The photos all look fine from the estate agents pics but they haven't taken any viewers round so I don't know how it is now.
My brothers been in recently & says it's still tidy.
Sadly I can't change the locks as his names on the deeds even though we have a legal document stating that the profits from the house will be mine.
I hate him so much for ruining everything!x0 -
Plus the last time I mentioned her living there he went mental & said he was moving out & wouldn't be paying anything towards the mgt, I can't afford to pay his share too now I'm on mat leave. The property can't be rented as I don't own enough equity in it x0

It seems to me that the only way this might benefit your fornicating ex would be if he thought he had convinced his current strumpet to buy the house.
Had you considered asking the estate agents to increase the asking price by £5000 or £10000?0 -
Lol then he definately would move out & leave me in the !!!! with a full mortgage to pay on a house I don't live in!x0
