Well no takeaways last week, all healthy home cooking, and it's paid off! 2lb off and I'm happy with that. just gonna keep going steady this week and will hopefully see the benefit.
Hope you're all doing well.0 -
Well done! Yay! It feels good doesn't it.
I'm now up to a 4.5lb weight loss ( I count from the first weigh in, it feels more impressive that way lol). Stayed the same all week then this morning I was another lb down. I am mostly making a good effort with eating, still off the booze and avoiding sugar etc and getting back to exercise. Want to up this a bit in February!0 -
I have a mega sweet tooth and was advised to take some chromium (link below). I can't comment on health impacts etc but it works really well for me, no more sugar cravings!

My first hurdle, healthy desserts! I've such a sweet tooth and must have a little treat in the evenings. So far I've been trying fruit and sugar free jelly, which is fine but I need some more ideas
Any suggestions?:santa2:0 -
Thought I'd jump in and join the group
Looking to loose about 3 stone this year and like most of you have cut out almost all the bad stuff - alcohol (never been a big drinker anyway), one sugar treat a week, cooking every meal etc.
I've also started ddp yoga which is kicking my !!! almost every day lol but I'm feeling the difference and it's a good work out.
Have any of you started taking vitamins/supplements etc to boost your energy levels?:santa2:0 -
welcome Jose and thanks for the info about the chromium. At the moment Im taking glucosamine with chondroitin and want to finish them before buying more, however I definately want to keep this in mind, thanks0

Hurrah, lovely to have more company here!
Lantanna sounds like you're in the same position as me, you've reaped the benefits of weight loss but lifted your eye off the ball a bit
What is DDP yoga btw?
On the vitamins, I'm a vitamin junkie. I take multivits with minerals, fish oil for eye health, vit c for hay fever prevention, glucosamine and chondroitin for joint health and a probiotic for gut health. if you shook me I'd rattle lol!0 -
Belfastgirl23 definitely have taken my eye off the ball and need to get back on it. Today I finished the last of the bread, that's him gone for another while he was no good for me at all!!!

It's a work out I came across - it's yoga with some dynamic resistance factored in. Working great for me, I'm gaining muscle and losing weight (not that much as the muscle gain puts weights on lol).:santa2:0 -
How's everyone doing? Another lb down for me so that's 5.5lb in total. My skirts are definitely more comfortable now! I had a big clear out of clothes at the weekend and got rid of the trousers that I keep to remind myself what size I was back when I weighed 2 stone more than I do now, along with a lot of other stuff. Feels good.
I've done too much eating this weekend though, visiting and having visitors, need to get back to normal again tomorrow! Though I'm still off the booze and keeping a note of calories so still on the wagon.
The yoga thing sounds interesting Jose, unfortunately at the minute my bodyweight gives me all the resistance I need!
My goal was to lose a stone by Easter, so we are now four weeks in and I've lost 5.5lbs. Which leaves another 8.5lbs to lose in just under 8 weeks. Doable with a bit of care I hope! Here's to another good week!0
