I've got mine at 15-16, but haven't put it on timed yet, we just turn it on at about 4pm until my youngest goes to bed at 7pm. We have cavity wall insulation and good loft insulation so while it's reasonably mild the house stays warm for hours after the heating is off.

I try my best not to put the heating on during the day when the kids are at school, but it's getting hard. I've got a jumper and fleece on and my hands are freezing! I get a bit peed off sometimes that I'm in a situation where I'm so worried about the bills I end up shivering rather than putting the heating on, but then I persuade myself that this way I'm doing my bit for the environment and it's not really about money (yeah right  :rotfl:)
