Can the Android Market be accessed via wi-fi on home broadband? Would be good for my daughter who likes getting the free apps, but would be cheaper if it could be accessed at home after the 6 months have gone.

So with minimal top up and no internet roaming charges this phone can be used as a PAYG mobile but still 'play' with the apps when away from the house? Can you switch off internet roaming to ensure the cost doesn't go up? Thanks

Yes, I'm not entirely sure that my 6 months free internet has kicked in yet, so I've turned off Internet Data and just get it through Wi-Fi instead.
Menu > Settings > Wireless & Networks > Mobile Networks > Untick Data Service

The apps that don't require internet access all seem to work fine without it once they're installed.
  • I Have received my snazzy new phone today.:j
However I cannot work out how to activate my free 6 months internet.

I have tried texting 6 MONTH FREE WEB to 441 but got a reply saying sorry you are not eligible.
and have tried ringing 441 but got an automated message saying to text them!
Hope I will get it sorted eventually but any advice would be great thanks

I've just finally managed to get my 6 months internet working. Like you, texting 6 MONTH FREE WEB to 441 got me nowhere, so in the end, I logged into my account on T-mobile (through my PC) and sent them a message through the Contact Us section. It all got sorted out pretty quickly then, and I've literally just received notification that it's been applied (a text saying "Congratulations your free 6 months of internet has been set up on your phone. Happy surfing!"
